And here is another extremely underrated set IMO:

People rarely talk about how badass the yellow Canucks uniforms with the more orange logo were.

People rarely talk about something being badass when it sucksass 😁

Saw this on UniWatch today...did the Patriots ever consider a red helmet when they switched to the Flying Elvis logo, or is this just a factory FUBAR (bottom right)?

I'm leaning FUBAR, given the white facemasks that are also wrong (Arizona, San Francisco, Philadelphia and New England). Compare them to the grey of Detroit, for instance

I’ve been on here nearly a decade and don’t recall this guy. Did he mostly stick to very specific subjects or something?

Sport Season threads. Playoff time was always his glory because they tended to either go perfectly by seed or be truly random. Neither of those outcomes were acceptable.

I agree with everyone's thoughts on black breezers on the home. That being said, after seeing these pictures, the black hem stripe does a decent job of breaking up the orange. The orange shoulders on the roads have kind of grown on me too.

This. Too many would have been quacking (that's a joke) about being too much like the Flyers if they had gone with black breezers at home.

It was a comfortable and predictable win for the best team in the league, wasn't his thing that randomness undermined titles? Or was it that predictability is boring and bad? Or both, depending on wind direction?

    Yes.

    All of the above.

Yes, but remember, that shade the Denver Broncos used looked close to the Detroit Lions shade. This made me think of this because of the way the azure type of color the Lions use is almost similar to the blue that Riddell paints for the Broncos.

The shade is not off a bit, but slightly different azure than the azure the Lions use.

That is why I touched upon the Giants and Rams using navy blue helmets which they wanted to slightly darken their royal blue to slightly match it which probably never happened. University of Kansas from 1983-1989 went that route from the link I introduced. I think they went with the full royal blue in 1990 which was a missed opportunity for the Giants and Rams, but I can see why they wanted to save money.

But yes, the azure shade to Denver's helmets and the Detroit Lions primary colors were not too far on the azure shading.

    No, they weren't.

    I'm azure of that.

When he was alive, in 1986, he opted for a more lighter gold that looks beige. So please, do not even comment if you do not have a clue.

    Child please.

    They're the Pacific 2 seed.

The NHL strictly speaking doesn't seed outside divisions any more, but depending on how you choose to define they'd work out as either a #4 or a #5.

Thanks! I went to the bracket and saw a number. My bad 🙂

  9. All those stats that Michael Jordan racked up in his DPOY season -- Take 'em with a grain of salt. Well, not all of them, but certainly the ones from his home games.  As someone who works the stats table for a D-1 team, it's interesting how this gets checked today. Some of these things couldn't happen, because turnovers/steals have to balance.
