"Legitimacy". People are lemmings who follow the crowd. There's a reason 'celebrities' and 'influencers' are a thing.
There's a reason 3 million people follow Tom Brady on Twitter and 14.9 million on Instagram.
And it's not because he posts a lot of insightful things for his followers.
How many of those people would go to a football game because he's the owner? How many of them are near enough to do so?

Unfortunately for you, it’s not that serious.
Thanks - I missed your sarcasm. I guess when I see somebody putting forth an idea, I assume they actually think it's an idea.

Insane that they believe they are beyond a CC uniform but just fine with an ugly ad patch on the sleeve...
A Navy blue jersey in the style of this St. Louis CC jersey would not exactly tarnish their brand.
:censored:, you can get pink, purple, red, green Yankee caps, and 10 million different kind of merchandise with the NY logo on it. From purses to underwear to soap dispensers!
Are they really trying to tell us, that they are so precious and holy that a CC uniform is beneath them!?
Just because they sell it doesn't meant the team has to wear it. They can still make money by selling it without wearing it -- I wish other teams tried that.

A Tom Brady owned Panthers team just might be the push the franchise needs to get good attendance numbers
Explain that logic. Why would people who don't attend the Panthers now suddenly attend because the owner went to UM?
Why do you think people attend games? How far down the list (or in this case, up on the list) do you think the owner is?

IMO "extremely boring" is bad in its own way. It means that it really has no right to exist. The Cardinals have a very nice "normal" uniform set, so it's definitely disappointing that they will be wearing something boring/inferior at least once over every homestand.
My logic behind not wanting alts is right there.
Is it a better look than your regular look? Then wear it all the time. If not, don't wear it.- 2

Most minor league teams will use a non monogram logo for the primary hat for licensing purposes. This way they can license their logo/apparel to little league teams. I know in my area there's plenty of Yard Goats, Threshers, Bananas, Trash Pandas, etc. almost just as frequently if not more often than Yankees, Rays, Braves, etc.
That makes a ton of sense. I never thought about it.

I feel you are misrepresenting what I said. I don't believe I ever insinuated that most of the CCs use airport codes. I merely said that I am surprised by the appreciation for certain CC renditions, such as Cleveland and Milwaukee, because their designs heavily incorporate those poor choices.
In one of my other posts, I listed various other reasons why the CC concept is failing miserably. Fauxbacks too reminiscent of throwbacks, excessive use of black/charcoal, and some that are just flat out ugly.
I won't defend that cap logo, because it's trying too hard to be cute by shoehorning the 414 into the MKE ( a nod to the Ball-in-Glove 'two things at once' logo), but given that the uniform doesn't say MKE, it says Brew City, I'm hard pressed to see how Milwaukee heavily incorporates the airport code in the design. The design is centered around the throwback colors and kitschy uses of Brewer icons (barley, grills from tailgating). I wish Bernie Brewer were on the cap without a doubt. If the uni said Brewers or Milwaukee with a different cap logo, it would be a totally fine alternate.

My question with these are:
1. it's not a throwback
2. If it's a color rush, would it be replacing green?
3. If it is in fact legit, why would they use that hybrid font and Agency nameplate font? is that even allowed or does it have to be current or legacy typefaces being used? They're more like guidelines

I know some like them, but I do not like the San Diego and Milwaukee versions. Those are in the "bad" category for me. But I would say the Angels one is probably top three for me.
City Connect started really going off the rails for me in 2023, so I think I agree with your overall point. This is when the designs started to get really, really lazy. Atlanta and Seattle basically with fauxbacks. The excessive use of black and/or charcoal elsewhere. More three-letter laziness. And some flat-out bad designs that are either hideous or just don't fit the city identity well.
Again, some good/interesting ones in the mix, but I'm soured on this on the whole, I'd just rather it go away entirely.
Anecdotally, those two are beloved where they were released. That might be the only opinion that matters.
I know we argue uniform aesthetics here, and I'm NOT going down the path of '[insert city name] is different, you have to live here to understand', but it's worth noting.- 1

VS chiefs must not be a national game otherwise it’d be contractually bound to be one of KC’s 13 home games.Isn't this trope dead and buried by now? Good grief - we all know that the schedule is pre-determined years in advance in terms of home and road.

Could they disallow the goal since they didn't call the penalty? I thought that's what I heard during the game.
I agree it should have been a penalty, but it doesn't seem to be possible to disallow the goal since a penalty wasn't called.

Love it. Wish there was a Yankee Stadium reference though.
That's a nice Easter egg with the not-yet-announced throwback helmet.

I still think it'll be Blizzard with a Yeti logo.
Not that it matters (it might), but the Green Bay Blizzard of the IFL already have that.
I'm not calling it any legal issue, just that they may choose to not repeat it if (big if) they know about it.

The Rock was the face of it because he invested in it. Do I think his presence made a difference in attendance? Only slightly. I mean, look at the numbers. What did it matter? He's likely a bigger star given Hollywood than Brady is. So what sort of attendance bump do you get from Brady as owner.
You said it yourself - maybe a few more would attend. That's not enough.
