Also to add to the Kyrie discussion, Adam Silver is actually Jewish! I am surprised he waited that long to punish Kyrie.

Are you referring to the old Lions uniforms?
If so, which set of uniforms of theirs screams "winners?"
They can always throw it back to the 50s when they last won an NFL Championship.

If/when ESPN does a 30 for 30 on the KD/Kyrie era of the Brooklyn Nets, they could spend a couple episodes on the calendar year 2022 alone lol.

Jalen Rose already had to make a public apology on ESPN tonight and we’re only at halftime of the first game, so yeah, probably. -

The people who ran the current Cosmos ran it to the ground. A tragedy for the most storied soccer team in the history of the US. If managed by the right people, they would have had a stadium in Queens and be the most supported team in Major League Soccer.

Barely keeping teams can do that. The fact that the New York Cosmos still technically belong to that league, despite not even playing, is sad.
Yeesh. I really hope they can get it together.

48. And it'll stay a closed system just like NISA so those dropping down will still get the same amount of cash as the teams staying or moving up, because that's the only way those owners agree to it.
I remember when NISA was very pro-pro/rel so they changed their tune some how

San Diego, Las Vegas expansion in "active discussions": MLS Commissioner Don Garber
I would prefer San Diego over a Las Vegas club. However, I wouldn't be surprised if both cities join the League. Also, it wouldn't surprise me at all when MLS expands beyond 30 clubs. Seems to be the way things are going anyway.
MLS Open To Playoff Revamp: Garber
I know the possible playoff changes were mentioned several posts ago, but it's good to hear that the Commish address it.
How much until MLS will have to split into two leagues with Pro/Rel? 36? 40?

I think that "devil magic" may be wearing off.
Astros have a "devil magic" of their own. It just took a break after the ALCS and did not come back til Game 4.

Another 10 or more win week, let's hope this trend continues
Philadelphia vs. Houston (will not be as competitive on the gridiron as it is in the baseball diamond)
Indianapolis vs. New England
Green Bay vs. Detroit (upset special)
LA Chargers vs. Atlanta
Buffalo vs. NY Jets (alas Buffalo is too strong for the Jets)
Minnesota vs. Washington
Carolina vs. Cincinnati
Las Vegas vs. Jacksonville
Miami vs. Chicago
Seattle vs. Arizona
LA Rams vs. Tampa Bay
Tennessee vs. Kansas City
Baltimore vs. New Orleans

Gonzaga going to the Big XII would be a massive L for the Pac-12 (and of course the WCC), they should have been working on adding the Zags as soon as USC and UCLA announced they were leaving.
Meanwhile, Sports Illustrated is reporting that the Pac-12 and San Diego State have had ongoing communication.
Agreed and also PAC-12 needs SDSU to get back to the SoCal market

Getting the Zags before the Pac-12 have a chance. Also would make a powerful basketball conference even better. Would be a nice move

Astros threw a combined no hitter. And the series is tied. Amazing

Man, I hope you are right.
This WS is giving 2008 vibes myself.
US economy is in a recession (Great Recession in 2008, COVID recession this year).
Phillies face a team in the Southern United States (Rays in 2008, Astros this year).
Phillies win Game 1 by 1.
Phillies only score 2 runs and lose Game 2.
Game 3 goes to Philly and gets disrupted by rain (delay in 2008, postponement in 2022).
Phillies later win Game 3.
Game 4 and 5?
