I was thinking about the Hulk thing yesterday.  Looks like there isn’t much purple, so no Hulk comparisons to worry about.

I wish the city connect uniforms were approached like "how do we design the coolest looking baseball uniforms" and not "how do we make these baseball uniforms a community art project"

I don't know why I had high hopes for the Rockies version. I should have known better

It's weird to me that they are doing this for Jackie Robinson day. the patch has the team's normal number font but the back of the jersey is a Dodger blue 42. Just have the team's normal font on the back and use the 75th anniversary patch on the sleeve.

They over-complicated something that was successful and are trying to redefine clashing aesthetics as good because it's meta. Too many chefs in the kitchen

  3. Death by a thousand cuts. Small ad here small ad there until people are desensitized and they can expand their profitability even more.

The teams and the leagues are more profitable than ever. They keep raising prices on everything. Now they're putting ads on the uniforms and charging fans for the privilege of being apart of it.

All of this was planned in a board room years ago and this exact time was chosen for a reason.

Grizzlies vs Thunder had both teams ready for the tip off wearing their white uniforms.  Grizzlies then changed into their blue uniforms.  I say they should have let them play on with both wearing white.

This has got to be like the 4th year in a row they let two teams get on the floor basically wearing the same color.

The NBA uniform system is not working. Too many options from night to night. Too many chances to make mistakes and not enough effort is being put into enforcing the match ups. It makes everyone involved look sloppy and absent minded.

I don’t think this identity will get the love it deserves until it’s gone.

They took the old 80’s identity, modernized it to fit with the new colors, and had a cool shoulder stripe that matches the side panel (until Nike’s template ruined it).

My only real gripes with these are the non-continuous side stripes and the mismatched front and back color trim.

I wish they would have used green as the primary away uniform colors though. They could have easily slid into the green/yellow niche with the absence of the Sonics. Using navy as the secondary color/alt color would have been a bolder move

the new jazz colors have slowly grown on me. but then again it's just black and yellow

it just still really baffles me how they decided not to rebrand around the redrock jerseys. everything they need minus a white jersey is already there for them.

this could be their association edition

keep these and move them down to become the icon edition

bring these back and make them the statement edition. and then boom you have yourself a top 5 jersey set in the league

the logos are already there (they could make more matching ones if they want)

and they already have one of the best looking basketball courts ever.

If they were committed to adopting black this is how they should have done it.

Just gonna throw in my two cents, but is it at all possible that all-star uniforms can be players' teams' normal designs, but with their original colors swapped out to match those of the host city? Say, for instance, in this year's all-star game, Joel Embiid is on the team wearing colored uniforms (or Hal Greer in my very rough mockup). He would wear his regular colored Sixers jersey design, but with wine and gold swapped in place of blue and red. Thoughts?

I don't have any inside knowledge but it's possible changing color schemes of copyrighted designs might cause contractual issues. In theory I like your idea and I think other people would like it too

If you're going to include the Angels then I'd argue you could add "Padres" to this list since their name is inspired by a religious order and some people might find that "icky."

Note: I don't personally feel the Padres should ever change their name nor am I aware of anyone currently demanding they do. But this might be where the road we're heading down leads us in a few decades (if not sooner).

The Braves I could see changing relatively soon.  This was more of a thought experiment because people wanting to change Texas Rangers took me by surprise. I don't think the next name change will take as long as Cleveland specifically because the precedent has been set

The name was taken from a racist police organization, the nickname is already used by a much more famous and long-lasting hockey team, and I don't think they can get a good visual identity out of it.

Are there any other MLB team names that people find problematic?

How would that start a trend?

Because fans would realize it was an option

Tom Brady had nothing to do with Tampa Bay’s design process considering they couldn’t have possibly known they’d get Brady two years in advance.

Brady didnt get the unis in Tampa changed, it was coincidental ...that move was rumored long in advance and probably started the groundwork 2 years prior.
