  1. I have a gut feeling the ACC will look past WVU's academic "shortcomings" and will accept WVU along with UConn when realizing how much $$$ WVU could bring in for the conference, not only because we have a strong fan base, but because there would be many instant rivalries in the ACC if we joined. (Maryland, Pitt, VT to name a few)

But I have no idea really. This whole thing is stressing me out. I really don't want to be in the mutant Big 12/East

I would also agree. I think WVU would benefit more from the ACC then the SEC, not only in football but basketball as well.

  2. I think if another 2 schools from the Big East I'd also say West Virginia & UConn. The reason I would think WV is their football & basketball programs would be an excellent pick up. Plus they'll still have the rivalry with Pitt while renewing the Rivalry between the Mountaineers & Virginia Tech. Like everyone else, UConn in the ACC would work because its one of the best basketball programs out there & along with them, UNC, Duke, the ACC could become (if it isn't already) the college hoops program. I mean they're pretty close now with the addition of Syracuse.

  3. Looks like Bill 204 is going through in Quebec City...

(CKAC Sports) - The Liberal government will move forward with Bill 204, and this, when Parliament resumes in September.

"It will be early, said Jean-Marc Fournier, Government House Leader. I can not tell you what will happen in the first 15 minutes, but it will at first. "

"Law 204, we want to resolve it as quickly as possible, said Sam Hamad, head of the Quebec City area. There were studies, the committee. The questions were asked, now we move on to adoption. "

The mayor of Quebec City RĂ©gis Labeaume urge members to pass his bill several weeks ago.

The agreement in principle that links the city to Quebecor expires on September 7.

  4. KING-TV reporter Chris Daniels is reporting Chicago Wolves owner Don Levin is part of a group interested in putting an NHL arena in Bellevue, Washington. All is extremely preliminary at this point, but Levin's no slouch.

Here's an article from the Seattle Times backing this up

& a news broadcast as well

  5. Washington Capitals= Local hockey team plus I thought Dale Hunter & Peter Bondra were awesome

Detroit Red Wings= I dunno, just like them for some reason

Baltimore Ravens= Never really cared for the Redskins, plus my dad was a huge Colts fan back when they were in Baltimore, so I figured, continue tradition, hate the Colts, love the Ravens

Atlanta Braves=was & still am a fan of the Bravos, family grew up on this team

Baltimore Orioles= Three words, Cal Ripken Jr. well, & also closest AL team

Washington Nationals= Always thought of as the underdog, like these guys in the NL, next to Atlanta as my faves & of course, closer team
