RoyalsFanTrey
Many years after the MLB dissolved due to baseball being "too slow" and games taking too long, a group of 16 teams created the National Baseball Federation. The new United States was divided into 8 districts with two teams in each district. The time period for this is probably around 2300-2350.Teams and Divisions are as Follows: I have all the cities I want but I am looking for some help with team names and I'm open to all suggestions. Teams not yet posted are also subject to change if someone gives me a better team name ideaWestern Conference:Northwest Division:Bayside (SF) Jaws (Derived from the sharks that lived in the bay area before expansion into the Pacific Ocean)Las Vegas Stealth Denver Squatches (Sasquatches were spotted during the 2195 rapid expansion of Denver) Northland (Montana) Bison Southwest Division:Kansas City Wranglers (Nod to the old cattle yards in the city)Dallas Steers (Name is a representation of all things once known as Texan before the redrawing of territories in 2157)Phoenix CactiSt. Louis RiverCats (As in catfish)Eastern ConferenceNorth Division:Chicago (Still need a team name)Detroit Smoke (From the dark period of Detroit during the 2000's)Boston Rebels (From the famous rebels of Boston during the Tea Party and the founders for new territorial boundaries)New York Liberty (From the old statue of Liberty)South DivisionNew Orleans Swamp Monsters (The rougarou (werewolf-like creature) was spotted once by authorities in 2147 but never seen again) Miami PalmsNashville Blues (As in country music blues, similar to St. Louis Blues)Cincinnati Red Stockings (Since this is far in the future, the Red Stockings would be ancient)I can't quite figure out how to post pictures, so just follow this link and it will take you to a document where I will be updating it with teams. I am almost done with the first team now!

the_grateful_ted
This is a good start, try something with Chicago about tall buildings, wind, or the great lakes. Firt couple things that come to my mind are Skyhawks or Lakers. With New Orleans, you gotta find something shorter. Swamp monsters is just not a professional sports league name

And IMO the jerseys would probably be cluttered and hard to read
kansas sports fan
I thought you said that they redrew the territories/states. Good start so far. For Chicago why not something like the gusts or something representative of wind and/or storms? Will be watching this.P.S. Nice to see someone else from the KC area.EDIT: I meant to say gales for Chicago since flyersfan's fictional wiffleball league has the Chicago Gust as a team. Literally, I was like "Don't write gusts, don't write gusts 'cause of that other thread" then I see my post and I'm like Acts 16:31 - And they replied: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household."John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

If I did do jerseys (I might eventually) they would have an interlocking SM or just "Monsters" on them. I wanted to base it off the rougarou but rougarous is a terrible team name. If you have any ideas of what else I could name them while still relating to the rougarous then go ahead.
RoyalsFanTrey
As promised, here are some team name ideas I have come up with as well as color schemes. Once I get some feedback on the Western Conference I will release the Eastern Conference names. Feel free to give more team name and color scheme ideas/changes. They are greatly appreciated. kansas sports fan
Quakes, Martians, Bighorns, Spuds, Drillers, Wranglers, Bushwhackers, and Rattlers are the names that I would pick. Also you should realign the divisions (inside the western conference) as:WEST EASTBoise Kansas CityLos Angeles St.LouisPhoenix DenverLas Vegas Dallas Acts 16:31 - And they replied: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household."John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. RoyalsFanTrey
Team names I have chosen:Los Angeles QuakesLas Vegas RedRocksDenver BighornsBoise SpudsPhoenix RattlersKansas City WranglersSt. Louis BushwhackersDallas DrillersI should have the Drillers, Rattlers, and one other stadium up by tonight. The stadiums will be small/medium sized as the NBF didn't want to invest billions of dollars into building stadiums before they knew if the league would be successful. Over time, the NBF will expand, add, and move stadiums and teams based on the performance and success of the teams and the league as a whole.
