Islanders Alternate Road Jerseys

Following are three concepts which were under consideration before Reebok stepped in and took over the design process. Version 1 The BKLYN (w/the Islanders Y hockey stick) was going to be added if the design process went further down the road. As you all know Reebok controls the process since they take the financial burden thus they declined the work. The current IIslanders black alternative jersey is the most attractive practice wear jersey uniform in the league. Sadly, the black and white is very drab and doesn't approach the great blue and orange standard home.

 

Version 2. This was under consideration before Reebok stepped in and took over the design process.

 

 

Version 3. This was under consideration before Reebok stepped in and took over the design process. The favored choice of the internal team. Never made it to final decision makers.

 

Additional alt marks that would have added to the Islanders B/W Identity package.

Every single one of these looks better than what they went with.  Further proof RBK has no idea what they're doing

Thanks Morgo. Probably the toughest challenge was staying with a white base jersey and only colour available was black. Gets very LA Kings-like very quickly.

It might be counter to what you're going for, but I'd like to see the original Islanders logo on the shoulders, it would add a splash of color. 

 

It could, potentially, come across as too loud on a monochrome jersey. Just throwing it out there.

Would have loved to... black and white were part of the ground rules from the design brief from Reebok.
