But just to show how second rate the Comcast sports news is, when doing a story on the Larry Eustacy scandle, if you want to call it that, they put up the IOWA HAWKEYE logo behind him... But this is added on to the whole Child Porn incident with an assistant coach.It's fair to say that if I was thinking about playing basketball at Iowa State, I'd be thinking fairly hard about going elsewhere after all this. I am a fairly liberal person... and I probably have less of a problem with him drinking at a college party and hitting on women, then I do with the fact that he's doing it with people from the earlier day's opposition... that's a little bothersome.Ultimately, this will hurt recruiting, beacause this gives competing coaches a field day to slight the ISU program with.But all in all, how does a major cable network like comcast screw up a hawkeyes and a cyclones logo... really makes you wonder. I'd almost love to send a complaint to them on how second rate they are, but I am not one to possibly get others in trouble... goat20 Posted April 30, 2003 Share Posted April 30, 2003 Being from Iowa also, and a big Iowa fan, i cringe everytime any sort of news service (tv, magazine, etc...) lists the Iowa Cyclones or the Iowa State Hawkeyes or mixes up the logos... .i hate to be associated with anything to do with Iowa State.. . . no offense to your college choice IowaFan (even though it would never be mine)... . strictly has to do with athletics.... yh Posted April 30, 2003 Share Posted April 30, 2003 . . . continuing the o/t discussion . . . .What has been overlooked in this whole deal is that Coach Eustachy came to the party as a guest of a Mizzou basketball player -- Josh Kroenke. As in Stan Kroenke. As in the the owner of the Denver Nuggets Stan Kroenke.If Eustachy does get the sack or decides it's "in the best interest of the program" to step aside, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him on the hardwood of the Pepsi Center shortly thereafter in some capacity. I would have to think that somehow Eustachy was buddying up to Josh and perhaps vice-versa as some sort of corporate mating dance on behalf of the Denver Nuggets.
