OnWis97
UNLV--the year they lost to Duke in the national Semi-finals. 1991? WJMorris3
Not UNLV - they did, after all, have a loss that year.
CaolinaJoe
So this obviously goes back before they expanded the field and added automatic bids. "It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of thepress. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom ofspeech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given usthe freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes theflag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, andwho allows the protester to burn the flag."Marine Chaplain Dennis Edward O' Brien

BaltimoreFan
My first guess is 03-04 St. Joe's. They were defeated in their league's tournament. (It's worth a try)
WJMorris3
Nope, that's a loss that must be counted. This team finished with 0 losses yet didn't win the national championship.
BaltimoreFan
I think I found it: 1975 Indiana Hoosiers

I have no idea, but it's gotta be a team with NCAA violations that was barred from postseason play or before the NCAA tourney, the first of which, I believe, was 1939. WJMorris3
Let's end this question. In 1973, the North Carolina State Wolfpack went 27-0 but were on probation from the NCAA, therefore forbidding postseason play.
