ColeJ
maybe i'm wrong, but i thought that the MLS named all of the teams that are now changing names... the MLS named the teams and operated them for a few years until they could find suitable owners... or at least that's what i believe happened, i may be wrong.once the dallas burn found an owner, the owner obviously didn't like the "burn" name (and i don't blame him). so he changed it to something he liked... with a more traditional soccer team name. and it's not as odd as some of you are making it sound. the dallas team didn't change it's name to anything false. it IS a "futbol" club. they didn't throw in anything to make it sound as if they were a long standing traditional team... i assumed that a soccer team that changed it's name to SOUND like a soccer team for once, instead of a WNBA name, would be widely supported, and not insulted.
