i was just thinking there are alot of cities in Canada that have a population of over 105,000. so in ten years they will probaly reach the 200,000 mark which with surronding areas could problaly support a CFL franchise. This is what i hope the League gets to .

Eastern Confrence

Atlantic Division

Halifax

Moncton

Montreal Alouettes

Quebec City

Saint John/Fredricton (one or the other).

Ontario Division

Hamilton Tiger Cats

London

Missassauga

Ottawa Renegades

Toronto Argonauts

Western Confrence

Prarie Division

Brandon

Saskatchewan Roughriders

Saskatoon

Thunder Bay

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Pacific Division

British Columbia Lions

Calgary Stampeders

Edmonton Eskimos

Okanagon

It's great to dream, isn't it?

Unfortunately for the CFL, they need to get their current franchises into the black before expansion is considered.

I have to agree--and actually I'd prefer to keep to 12 teams maximum--all the other leagues seem to be huge--I like the variety of smaller leagues too--but hey I play a 32 team CFL on Madden too---

Fredericton only has around 40,000 people right now,

while Saint John has around 125,000.

Wow, you're talking 20 teams here.

Well, it's a good concept, however I just don't see all 20 economically viable teams in the CFL.

I think 10-12 teams should be plenty in the long run.

How about:

EASTERN DIVISION

Atlantic (Halifax)

ALOUETTES

QUEBEC

Ottawa Renegades

CENTRAL DIVISION

Hamilton Tigercats

London

Toronto Argonauts

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

WESTERN DIVISION

B.C. Lions

Calgary Stampeders

Edmonton Eskimos

Saskatchewan Rough Riders

If 2 divisions are the only option, you could replace London with Thunder Bay.

I think the only option will be the current 9, an Atlantic team, Quebec, and one more team. Maybe London.
