youcan'tseeme
i was just thinking there are alot of cities in Canada that have a population of over 105,000. so in ten years they will probaly reach the 200,000 mark which with surronding areas could problaly support a CFL franchise. This is what i hope the League gets to .Eastern ConfrenceAtlantic DivisionHalifaxMonctonMontreal AlouettesQuebec CitySaint John/Fredricton (one or the other).Ontario DivisionHamilton Tiger CatsLondonMissassaugaOttawa RenegadesToronto ArgonautsWestern ConfrencePrarie DivisionBrandonSaskatchewan RoughridersSaskatoonThunder BayWinnipeg Blue BombersPacific DivisionBritish Columbia LionsCalgary StampedersEdmonton EskimosOkanagonVictoria
quantum
It's great to dream, isn't it?Unfortunately for the CFL, they need to get their current franchises into the black before expansion is considered. I have to agree--and actually I'd prefer to keep to 12 teams maximum--all the other leagues seem to be huge--I like the variety of smaller leagues too--but hey I play a 32 team CFL on Madden too--- Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here." GeorgesL
Wow, you're talking 20 teams here.Well, it's a good concept, however I just don't see all 20 economically viable teams in the CFL.I think 10-12 teams should be plenty in the long run.How about:EASTERN DIVISIONAtlantic (Halifax)ALOUETTESQUEBECOttawa RenegadesCENTRAL DIVISIONHamilton TigercatsLondonToronto ArgonautsWinnipeg Blue BombersWESTERN DIVISIONB.C. LionsCalgary StampedersEdmonton EskimosSaskatchewan Rough RidersIf 2 divisions are the only option, you could replace London with Thunder Bay. Pat
I think the only option will be the current 9, an Atlantic team, Quebec, and one more team. Maybe London.
