What confusing about it.

2 Points for a win

1 point for an OT loss

0 Points for a regulation loss.

If they're gonna award 1 point for an OT loss, then I'd like to see it look like this:

Regulation win: 3 pts

Overtime win : 2 pts

Overtime loss: 1 pt

Regulation loss: 0 pts

Yea, I like that. Winning in regulation should be more than winning what could be a gimmick (Shootout).

I agree with some of what you've said, but Montreal will not miss the playoffs. Losing Brisebois wasnt that big of a loss.

Teams to watch out for this year (they won't necessarily make the playoffs but they'll be close) are:

Eastern Conference: Florida, Pittsburgh, Atlanta

Western Conference: Chicago, Columbus and Nashville (I love the Predators lineup!)

Toronto will not make the playoffs but the remaining 5 Canadian teams will!

The Rangers will not win 20 games this year they are going to bad as bad as the expansion Sharks were they are awful they are horrendous and in goal is the worst goalie in the NHL Kevin Weekes.

I agree. I think every game should award the same number of points.

No way are the Leafs finishing with just 76 points! I guarentee it! (But if they were some how that bad, I sure hope Pat Quinn is fired!)

My opinion:

Teams with too many points in the preview:

Lightning

Bruins

Thrashers

Islanders

Canucks***

Los Angeles Super Cool Eggplant Colored Ducks of the State of California in Anaheim**

Predators

Flames

**-more than 10 off

***-more than 15 off

Teams with not enough points in the preview:

Canadiens

Penguins

Leafs***

Rangers

Red Wings

Wild**

Avalanche**

Stars

**-more than 10 off

***-more than 15 off

Again, just my crazy thoughts.

I hope you predictions about the Canucks are right, except for the losing in the Stanley Cup Finals part.....

Good job overall, I liked how you made some make some riskier predictions (Nashville first in division) than others because most magazines end up predicting the same 16 teams making it to the playoffs, just in a different order.

WELL DONE

i agree with you on that! its the 2005-2006 season, which is also the year of the dog in 2006 and look at what the Canucks have done during the year of the dog-

1970-Canucks are born

1982-1st Stanley Cup Final Appearance

1994-2nd Stanley Cup Final Appearance

2006-3rd Stanley Cup Final Appearance, 1st Stanley Cup?

we'll just have to wait and see how it'll be played out.

3rd time is the charm

There's no way anyone can predict the hockey season...there's nothing to go on from last year and like 1/3 of the players changed teams or something. Good effort though.

Go Devils!

less than 20 wins for the Blueshirts?

Put down the crack pipe, please...

They're not gonna contend, but they're not Washington bad....at least there's a tiny bit of talent there.
