sc49erfan15
With the TD they just hooked up on in the Colts-Rams game (their 86th), Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison are now, in terms of touchdowns, the best QB-WR tandem in the history of the NFL. They eclipsed the record previously held by Steve Young and Jerry Rice, with 85.As a 49er fan that became a 49er fan during the height of the Young-Rice era, and my favorite player ever being Steve Young, I hate to see it go. But, it was obvious it would eventually fall, and I can't think of anybody better for it to fall to than Manning and Harrison, both great players and class acts. What do you guys think? Do the TDs lie? Is Manning-Harrison the best combo in the history of the NFL?
FirearmofMutiny
Young is my favorite player too, that's why I'm a Niners fan in Minnesota. And yes, I do think Manning/Harrison has surpassed them.
NJTank
Well Young did it over a shorter period if Im not mistaken. Young to Rice was over 7 years pretty much. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
Cujo
I'll still take Young/Rice over Manning/Harrison.
