The Defensive Player of the Year is probably Ben Wallace, but you can definitely make the case for Ron Artest. Look at the turnaround the Kings have had since they acquired Artest. I think that Artest missed too many games when the Pacers chose not to play him though. So you're right in saying Ben Wallace will be the Defensive Player of the Year.

I'd make a case for Mike D'Antoni for COY!

Reasons:

- 3 New players in their lineup

- Boris Diaw playing centre?????

- Boris Diaw playing to his potential

- Flip Saunders took over a team that made the NBA Finals 2 years in a row, with the same players, and a better bench.

- Flip has yet to face much adversity in Detroit. i.e. injuries,
