To me, that makes him one of the best-named mascot in sports, behind only Otto the Orange and Mr. Met.Bango Buck certainly does have a nice ring, doesn't it? His name was the most popular response in a 1977 "Name the Mascot" balloting by fans. The name came from the call of original Bucks announcer Eddie Doucette, whenever a Buck would hit from long-range. Used in a sentence: "Here's McGlocklin from outside...
