Brick
Humberto Cota and Yadier MolinaI usually like modern touches to uniforms. However this is really ugly, is only on his shirt, and doesn't even look like a design. It looks like he accidentally splashed yellow chalk on it. Hat Boy
You can thank our good friends at Nike for that. Team color with a gradient of secondary dots on the sleeve. Fortunately, most players have the aesthetic sense not to wear them.

Brick
Yeah this has been discussed for several months now... I'd heard about the Nike shirts, but didn't make the connection. The patteren in the Red Sox picture looks deliberate while the pattern on Cota's shirt looks accidental. Maybe it's the interaction of yellow and black. eww7633
Jack Wilson of the Pirates also wears the horrendous undershirt. Google a pic of him or go to the Pirates official website and you might find a better example of the shirt.

Maybe it's the interaction of yellow and black. Cota is wearing the short-sleeve version , so that may account for the different look.
Gothamite
The sleeve in your photo is also a little blurry, so the pattern is obscured. Here's a better photo of the same style shirt.Uni Watch covered this a while back:http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=lukas/060413They seem to violate MLB's uniform code, and some umpires have required that the shirts be removed in games.
