HurricaneDavid
Just saw this in my e-mail promoting tickets if a one-game playoff is necessary:Why couldn't they have done the LDS/LCS logos in the same fashion, and left out the World Series part? Mac the Knife
Weren't these games once referred to as Divisional Playoff games? What was wrong with that moniker?
jWilson4mvp
Weren't these games once referred to as Divisional Playoff games? What was wrong with that moniker? Because it wasnt always divisional teams that played, sometimes it was for the wildcard. Rah rah rah.
ClutchIsEverything
Also tiebreaker games are technically part of the regular season.

HurricaneDavid
Just saw an ad on ESPN with the same logo, but "POSTSEASON" in place of "TIEBREAKER." They've got everything covered.
SteveR
Also tiebreaker games are technically part of the regular season. For statistical purposes only. If LA, SD and PHI finish with the same record, they'll playoff Monday for the West title, with the loser flying to Philly for a wild-card playoff Tuesday. They've eliminated the idea that Monday's game would drop the loser a half-game behind PHI, giving the Phillies the wild card by default.
