I guess I never realized it could hurt the team that is losing a coach's recruiting too. Also I'm not really sure how recruiting works, but could the NCAA also set a date as too when teams can start or would it be too hard too enforce. High-school seniors get looked at the most, but underclassmen also get looked at. For most schools, whenever a team has off week, the coaching staff is recruiting. During that lull between the regular season and bowl season, coaches are heavily recruiting. After the bowl game, coaches are recruiting all the way until National Signing Day.
