For whatever reasons, I think he's full of BS.

He's trying to make $15,000 and he couldn't go down to CVS and buy a $4.99 disposable camera that works?

Obvious fake, because quite frankly, championship rings really didn't start to feature actual logos until the 1970s, and there's no way a 1950 ring would have that many diamonds on it.

Partly correct... here's a photo of Jacques Plante's 1958-59 Canadiens championship ring. It has logos, but definitely no gems of any kind (certainly not 22 diamonds!). So unless the Wings were an exceptionally wealthy outlier of the era, you're correct on that point.

If thats it, and I'm not sure it is. The e-bay ring is listed as a 1949-50 ring for 15000. The Auction ring is in focus, celebrating the 3 recent cups and is going for 1600.

It is the same ring linked to at Classic Auctions. I can't beleieve someone would try to sell that for 15k. I wonder of they meant to sell it for 1500 like the auction and got their wires crossed.
