max
What will be the loudest, most heralded change in sports branding in the next 25 years? Where do you see the evolution of sports and aesthetics going? More abstract logos? Fewer or More colors incorporated into primary logos? Extinction of cartoon logos? In other words, in the year 2032 (25 years from now) what template, pallette, or branding strategy will we need to create new team identities? Here's what I think we'll see in the future...NBA - court art will be huge. Graffiti art on the floor?NHL - who knows?MLB - more breathable uniforms. shorter sleeves?NFL - every team will have at least three uniforms, some more.MLS - European style everything. Alphabet Man
NHL will allow advertising on jerseys. They'll go to white on the road. Logos will be more unique in the major 4-5 sports in the USA. Ie: the other leagues will employ the NFL designers.MLB- yeh, shorter sleeves, with a bit more variety like cricket in terms of the option of long sleeves, 3/4 sleeves, short sleeves and shorter than short sleeves. twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
