This thread takes me back to the days when I first visited these forums. Signatures were all the rage. I've had signatures turned off for years but it's fun to see they're still going. /end old man rambling

Now move that logo back between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, where it belongs!

Products you bought just because you liked the branding design

I get sucked in by craft sodas and special edition pops quite often. The Dews were actually quite good. Pepsi 1893 wasn't great, especially the ginger variety. -
It is almost certainly a custom script, but you can probably find something similar through Dafont. Check the Gothic > Medieval section.

Kid Rock isn't the best choice in ANY social climate. But, nobody watches the All-Star Game for the musical entertainment. Nobody really watches the all-star game period, do they? -

Good. I had them turned off forever anyways. Makes the forum experience far cleaner. -
Looks like that dude may be making some serious cash off of it: https://www.facebook.com/royallionsfabriano http://www.asdroyallions.com/ I absolutely love Fraser's lion logo. That's always been one of my favorite logos -- not only from him, but in general. Every little "tweak" they did to differentiate it from Fraser's just made it look worse. Also, it appears that the Behance page has been taken down. I'd love to see that happen. These Royal Lion yahoos clearly don't care about stolen logos. Check out the logo they have on their uniforms (just above the ball).

Players in the "wrong" uniforms
DelayedPenalty replied to larrypep's topic in Sports Logo General Discussion
Try "Players With the Wrong BMI"... Those are his "I'm going to Checkers" shorts "They told me this photo was only from the waist up..." -
Fraser is aware of it, has posted on the team's Facebook page, and any post related to their logo being stolen is being deleted.

You're missing the point of vintage logos. The XFL is not vintage. The logos and mascots Ren and others have been working on were (mostly) created in the days before computer graphic design, they were hand drawn, hard to replicate, and very few examples even exist.

Overkill the agreement to cover your ass in any way possible. Here's a great one that you can customize to your needs. I have EVERY client agree to it and sign it, even my best friend whom I do freelance work for frequently. Email them the file, ask them to sign it and scan it then email it or mail it back to you.

I think the "beard" of Ren's cougar makes him look a little aged, and the Torch version has a more youthful look. Are they similar? Yes, because they're both based on the same logo to start with. I wouldn't go crying plagiarism just yet. Torch says BYU approached them in June, while Ren's version was posted in February. It's very likely someone at BYU saw this very thread and thought the modernized logo looked great! Rather than contact Ren they went with Torch, a reputable company, rather than a username on a message board (not knocking your skills Ren, because they're amazing).
