rmered
This is a logo I've done for the St.Kilda Football Club's new Heritage Museum.(Think Hall of Fame for North Americans)For those who don't know, StKilda Saints are one of the AFL (Australian Football League) teams.(So going back to our North American example, think New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame)Any ideas on what I can add to it to make it look 'old'?The font seemed to go with the 1890's look I was going for, and the jumper I've used is also their 1890's design.(Though they wanted the logo which didn't appear until the 1930's)It will be used at the club reception to guide people to it, on letterheads and possibly their website.Any improvement ideas? Oh, and I've got a site.Footy Jumpers Dot Com
cappital92
Try making the white more of a cream. http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes?
rmered
Try making the white more of a cream. But the club colours are Black, White & Red.Doesn't that add in another colour that's not in their palette? cappital92
Well, how much is white used? If it's only for a clash kit or something like that, then cream should be alright for the background. http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes? rmered
OK, so if it's going to include a cream colour, then it has to look like an old sign.At least, that's how I was thinking when I came up with this.Which is better? The first or the second? Alphabet Man
As the only St Kilda fan on this board....Maybe use the club logo with the black square background like on the jumperStick to red white and blackDid they want the jumper in it?The font is right, St Kilda Football Club wouldn't fit in i suppose, so FC is okayIf you have 100 years of footy book (from 96), on page 16, maybe add a bit of the logo/square picture thing could be incorporated? twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
myartsaywhat
so far I like the 2nd one better. The first on looks like a billboard for the museum more than logo.
Primal
The detail of the lettering in Heritage Museum gets a bit lost when the font is that small (i'm thinking e.g. when used as letterhead). Solid black letters might work better down there. Also, try adding white and red around the black border (thick black, thin white, thin red similar to the letters perhaps).
