max
sure it's a simple question, but i shouldn't have expected a simple answer. isn't there a special code that goes with each color? how are the colors matched? Because I know Dallas Cowboys silver is different from Kansas City Royals metallic silver from 2006. Is there software with each team's color info? I don't really have time right now to go into all of this, but suffice to say that yes, there are color standards - for print, fabrics, thread, twill, etc. - and for the most part, teams keep the actual values under wraps in order to protect themselves from potential counterfeit merchandisers.
