schlim
While flipping through the radio dial last night, they were playing an interview with Mack Brown, the coach of the Longhorns, who was talking about the importance of beating other teams in Texas, with a quote along the lines of, 'we can't win outside Texas if we don't win in it'. He then explained thats why they have the state of Texas sticker on the back of their helmets, and everytime they beat a Texas school. they put a dot on the sticker in the location of the school they beat.If you look at this picture (taken in 2007?), you can see they had beaten North Texas and someone in Houston - bet they really wish they had a dot on their sticker signifying Lubbock this year, eh? jWilson4mvp
Wow, never would have had any idea about that. You don't even notice the dots unless you're told about them. Very interesting. Rah rah rah.
Arts11
Very interesting. The Houston team was probably Rice. Texas seems to make it a yearly "tradition" out of shellacking the Owls.
footballfiji
The also put a star on the Northern border of the state when they beat Oklahoma. Since the winner of that game, wins the Red River. Plainsman Parking Lot. Auburn Baseball Blog
