chickenfish
Hey Guys. So I downloaded the Illustrator CS4 trial, and I have had it for about 3 days. I designed a team called the Hornets. For now just logos, may do jerseys, but it isn't a specific logo for a kind of sport, so who knows. I saved it as a png, it obviously looks better as an ai. C & C appreciated. JamieRose
Decent start (much better than my first illustrator concept, or most things i do in illustrator for that matter), but it does need work. The first thing I noticed was the Walt Disney script, which i'm not really feeling. The script underneath isn't too bad, though. As for the hornet itself, it could use more color, its just a bunch of outlines now. Try adding a third color to make it a bit fuller.Just keep working at it!
chickenfish
Are you saying I should add a fill too it?
RamblinGamblinTiger
Right now, I think it would work as a small business logo, but not an athletic logo- It needs the fill color in my opinion- Also, ditch the Disney font. I like the other wordmark though- what font is that?
chickenfish
Thanks for the input, it really helps, the font is called 4th and inches.
chickenfish
Here are a couple filled variations. The top is for comparison. I also got rid of the waltograph font.
chickenfish
I know this was kind of fast, but here is the finished product. C & C please. After posting this, I looked at it, and I am not sure why it is much worse quality then the others, and I am not sure why it has that white blob by the hornets stinger. Anyone know the reason? I did save it as a png.
elliott
Whenever I use Illustrator, I go to Save For Web and then save it as a gif. It always turns out with just as good quality as the ai version. I think png is most often used by paint users. Dribbble ... Behance

chickenfish
Called 4th and inches. I probably wont have alternate logos, because it was just a quick concept to see what I could do in Illustrator. Maybe if I get bored sometime I will do some.
