NJTank
When the Mets were a bad team and playing lifeless baseball the stadium was hideous, but when the Mets were rolling and winning games and winning in late innings going into the postseason, had Mike Piazza or Darryl Strawberry at the plate, Jose Reyes or Mookie on the bases Doc or Johan on the mound there was an incredible buzz, hard to describe unless you were there. Its like the fans brought it to life, and then when something big happened it shook, the upper deck, the lower deck it shook, and when it shook it was magic, there was no feeling better at a ballpark you stop to think the stands may fall but it held together. That's made Shea special.Apparently the final section is being pulled down tomorrow around noon. Here is a great time lapse of the demolition and a Shea Tribute http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcxiXUPqh90 www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
