Patchez Posted September 23, 2009 Author Share Posted September 23, 2009 Embrace political correctness?That has NOTHING to do with political correctness.Making light of a scene where thousands of lives were ruined and many still are is not really all that funny...I know the artist who created that NOLA images and he was not making light of the tragedy of Katrina.Zapping the government that failed most of the victims... perhaps.Now if YOU feel that I did with those images, I believe YOU have the problem.Some of you folks remind me of two incidents regarding art, one was the band "The Beatles" put out a vinyl album with cover artwork with the band pictured withchunks of plastic baby dolls all in pieces. While it was released abroad, it was NOT in the ultra sensitive United (red) States. Then in Chicago, we had a Mayor who died in office with a rumor swirling that he was wearing women's undergarments at the time of his death.A local artist created a piece depicting the Mayor in items you'd find in Victoria's Secret. Political allies of the Mayor stormed the art museum (or gallery) and demanding the thing be pulled down and destroyed.If you are so sensitive to the plight of others, do something good for those victims still out there.As for me, I am at peace with my God, and she with me! ;-) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think that they are really jealous that they can't produce something like that.Anyway, how about a Cincinnati Reds one with this logo and the 1919, 1940, 1975, 1976 & 1990 WS dates?Or a Marlins one with '97 & '03?Amaxin' work! The natives have a love/hate relationship with this city, and it's hard to explain. We gripe about the crime and politics and filth, but we love the culture, the food, the atmosphere... I'm sure it would be a psychologist's dream to analyze New Orleanians...That being said, can you make a "clean" version of the Hornets cover? P.S. I have traveled in St. Lous extensively... they maintain very clean streets and parks!...This IS a "heads up" (not a Viagra joke here!) to the Pharmacies of Schnucks, Dierbergs, Wal-Mart, Target, and you others out there in the Gateway City.
