Mings
At least he is going in as a screenwriter. You definitely can't argue with the attention the Rocky series brought to boxing (even more so than it already had).

dfwabel
At least he is going in as a screenwriter. You definitely can't argue with the attention the Rocky series brought to boxing (even more so than it already had).He got in as an "Observer". Larry Merchant is there as well as Burt Sugar and artist LeRoy Neiman. They put him in since they needed the hype, but the International Boxing HOF has five sections to induct. Actually, you can look at the list of boxers and see it is centralized on the Americas and that some of those guys were good, but not great. Out of the inductees, Kostya Tszyu is getting no credit. Then again, boxing in the US does not matter as Joe Cotrez, the "fair, but firm" referee got more ink.
