Cheyenne South HS (WY) Bison

Nothing major or even noteworthy, as it's a high school in Wyoming (which I forgot to put in the main subject line) but it's the sort of thing that happens in small towns all of the time and well, the results are what they are. I think the lack of awareness that you can get professional design done that is venerable and well designed isn't something most places realize they can afford or do, so more often than not they go the local artist route and something that doesn't work as well.

South is the newest high school in the state's largest city. Only 9th and 10th graders go there at the moment, first senior class will be in two years. As for sports teams, this is the first year they've been in their own building..last year, the 9th graders stayed at the middle school and just played as Cheyenne South.

Wow, that thing is scary, but not "tough sports team intimidation" scary, more like "that face is going to give me nightmares" scary.

I had to compete against a wrestler from there last year. I could have sworn they had a different logo on there singlets. Hmm. Maybe it was that one. I can't rememberer. Now you've just go me wondering

I can't say there is anything special about it. It doesn't jump out and say "wow".

It's simple, nothing wrong with the logo. There are some good qualities to it, the eyes and the "strong" looking face is good.

It's a beer label logo, not a football helmet logo. For high schools, anyways, I always prefer they go with a monogram of some sort on their helmets. Most of the time the logo is difficult to see and often looks like the one above.

If they refined it, gave the eyes a little more "edge" and reduced the detail then it would look a lot better.
