Benny Leonard, the former lightweight boxing champ of the world purchased the NHL franchise in Pittsburgh, then named the Pirates. Finding no financial success in the Iron City, Benny moved his team to Philadelphia, renamed them the Quakers and promptly dropped into the cellar of the NHL again.
