ANGELCAT-IDA61 Posted March 20, 2012 Share Posted March 20, 2012 Since Majestic went with the mlb replica swingman jerseys in 2009, it seemed to be a change for the worse IMO. I bought an Angels home jersey for $80 and there is too much white around the wordmark. I recently purchased a Giants replica road alternate jersey for the same price and there is an extra layer of gray around the SF, which looks like it was glued on. The wordmark on all replica jerseys Majestic manufacured between 1999-2008 looked exactly like the authentics,with the exception of the St Louis Cardinals home and road jerseys and Chicago Cubs home, with the unnecessary white cresting around it. The only other difference is no sleeve patches on the replica jerseys, but that's okay. Lack of sleeve patches is no big deal to me. I wish Majestic would bring back the pre swingman jerseys again. It looks like absolute trash and there is absolutely no point to have the players name on a jersey that doesn't include one on the authentics (Red Sox, Giants, Yankees). I purchased one of the gold World Series Champion jerseys last season (Mainly because I didn't want to drop $300 on another jersey) and am deathly afraid of washing it because I've seen several people wear jerseys that were completely destroyed after one wash. For as crappy of quality that counterfeits are, they're still head and shoulders over any of these screen printed twill pieces of crap. The Reebok NFL EQT jerseys are just as bad. I have a Caddy Williams Bucs jersey I washed once on the delicate setting in cold water and the numbers completely melted.
