hrivnak
Looks like the Red and Gold stripes are actually going to make their way on to the field after all...http://www.georgiaforce.com/news/2004-02-03-vstripes.asp
nitroseed
Ah, well, at least it's for one game only. I don't have a problem with that, especially since it is a tribute to UGA and Ga. Tech's football legends.
JQK
See, now that's not so bad... One game, and a thinner, better looking gold stripe with the red one.. very nice... Stay Tuned Sports Podcast
winters in buffalo
Not bad looking, but still completely uneccessary. If you're going to honor somebody, wear a patch.
NJTank
It still looks out of place but if its used only once then its not a huge issue. Atleast they are thinner and dont look as bad as the one teh governor was holding. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
Brian in Boston
I agree with winters in buffalo: a commemorative patch was the way to go. The helmet stripes look completely out of place.Brian in Boston
JQK
I like the helmet stripes better than a patch. More unique, very keen... Stay Tuned Sports Podcast
hrivnak
I like the stripes, personally. I'd actually like to see them incorporated full time -- with blue or silver or an actual one of their colors, of course. But as a tribute I think it's better than a patch, it's something more unique.By the way, it's actually for two games, and not just one. They're having a UGA day and a Tech day and will wear the helmet for each.
NJTank
Maybe they will wear an UGA pathc on Georgia Day and a Tech patch on Tech day that may work out good. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
paynomind
I was very surprised to hear they are actually going with the helmet stripes, even for only two games. The more I think about it though, the more i like it. EVERYBODY does a patch. Why not do something unique. I think it is very cool. NCFA Sunset Beach Tech - Octopi ΓΔΒ! STL FANATIC
Yeah, I'm ok with it since it's two games and the stripes are thin. JUSTIN STRIEBEL | PORTFOLIO | RESUME | CONTACT
