*Puts on bitter Buckeyes fan hat* Michigan is going to get rolled in the playoff.

*Takes off bitter Buckeyes fan hat* It was a helluva game . You all outplayed us and deserved the win. Congrats.

I have a feeling that yes we will probably get rolled by Washington or Georgia. But the optimist in me says National Championship. But yes I agree, that was probably the best game I've seen in years between these two

  2. I'm happy for the Michigan win. That always makes my year. But damn if that wasn't an amazing game on both ends. That Buckeyes team played with heart. But glad Michigan wanted it more. Now it's the game where there's No pity for the Kitty. But looks like another year. Because ASU sucks.

I don't know how they're gonna get by the Eagles, but the Lions, who are eschewing wunderkind-coach conventions by just having a big loud dumb guy tell everyone to try hard, have all the makings of a team that gets to the Super Bowl and loses. It's like the football version of the Doin' It All With A Hot Goalie.

Us Lions fans are just enjoying the ride. Who knew the big loud dumb guy could coach and bring a winning culture to this team.

So was the original, the teal, black and copper tied into the state metal and mineral of Arizona, and the purple tied into sunsets.  It was also the best colour scheme that peyote could buy, and it being so loud was perfect. I would put forward the 2001 home sleeveless uniform as the best use of purple and teal in sports, that uniform was awesome.

The new set is good, but I would take an update of the original set over it without question.

I'm a huge Diamondbacks fan and have been one since they announced the team in 1995. But I honestly associate the Diamondbacks as teal first before I see the purple. But I love the red for the Diamondbacks, but I prefer it over purple. I will always love the original set and one of my favorites, but Sedona Red imo is the superior color. Plus if I had it my way, I would have sand, red and teal as the official colors and make black the accent.

Yeah his whole tenure was a disaster. Time to get someone in there who actually has a desire to navigate the system honestly.

Knowing Crow it'll be someone who values education first and set the athletic program back another 30 years

Arizonan here, the move to Glendale will cost the Rattlers some fans. It's an extra half hour drive w/o traffic, light rail doesn't go there, etc. Don't know how popular a new team will be but I'm guessing it'll have a shot.

But yet it works for the Cardinals. I can understand if we were talking about the Suns or Coyotes. But they're also playing once a week so I don't think it'll be a bad thing in the long run

ASU has such great colors, and such a great helmet decal, yet for some reason, they never seem to look great to me.

When I was a kid and more into college sports, they had the Sparky helmets and at least looked relatively consistent from week-to-week, but I really liked when they put the trident there.  It's just that nothing else seems to work, either because they try too much, have poor mix-and-match combos, or just don't care.

That white/maroon combo posted above isn't bad, but could be a lot better.  I think if i had the keys to redesign one team, even though there's some true trainwrecks that need it more,  I might pick them, just because they have so much great existing stuff to work with.

If they had a gold helmet, I believe that the set would pop. More balance and ASU would have the best uniform combination. But I also believe they need to move away from Adidas. I wish us alumni could make that decision and go with Nike or Under Armor

  8. Congratulations Rangers, you guys wanted it more this year. But I'm still proud of my DBacks this year for making it. I don't think this will be the last both these teams make it back to the World Series. Also congratulations to the guys who have been wanting this for years.

  9. I could honestly see this series going both ways. All hinges on game 3 pitching. Pfaadt has been damn near dominant this post season, and Scherzer hasn't been pitching well. But we don't know that the roles could be reversed. Plus Luvello has been limiting Pfaadt to 5 innings a game. So do we trust the Diamondbacks bullpen from inning 6 and on?

The better team doesn't always win.

Other than the 9th inning choke last night. The Diamondbacks have looked like the better team. Plus the run differential has been going their way. Let's hear what other excuses you have that the DBacks are the worst?

Let's be clear, summers here suck too. Mid October to mid May are great, but June through August are brutal.

Mid October -May is probably the reason why we go through the 3-4 months of hell. No better weather than being in Phoenix/Tucson during this time

Pending an agreement on the start date, Army is officially set to join the American as a football-only member in (hopefully) 2024.

The condition was that the Army-Navy game remain at the end of the season, after the conference title game (and thus be counted as a nonconference game)...apparently Army is the only member to have drummed up significant interest in the process to replace SMU (though I thought and still think Buffalo & Northern Illinois would be perfect expansion choices for the conference, as it establishes a presence in the Buffalo & Chicago markets)

The MAC Conference is the one conference that looks the stable out of the group of 5. I could see them expanding with Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee State. Which I've heard that Western Kentucky has mutual interest in joining.

Two teams who have no business playing in the world series are playing in the world series. Oof. The Reds swept the Rangers this year and took 4 of 7 from the D-backs, including a three game sweep. I guess Ill go for the Rangers since they havent won a world series yet.

Guess the Reds should've had the better record then the DBacks and thet would be in the World Series instead

  14. Btw a little bit of weird trivia. Randy Johnson killed a bird in 2001 and the Diamondbacks went to the World Series. 22 years later Meryll Kelly kills a bird in spring Training and the Diamondbacks are again going to the World Series. It's like they're sacrificing birds for titles
