  1. Four 16-team mega conferences. The four conference championship game winners meet in a final four (semifinals & championship) to determine the national champion. Simple as that. No more BCS.
  2. The future look of the NBA: L.A. Lakers, Miami, New York, Chicago, Brooklyn (5 teams that's it )
  3. I know this has been rehashed about 4 billion times but with the major possibility of Phoenix moving to Quebec City after this season in all likelihood we are going to get THIS: EASTERN CONFERENCE Atlantic - Boston, New Jersey, N.Y. Islanders, N.Y. Rangers, Philadelphia Northeast - Buffalo, Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto Southeast - Carolina, Florida, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Washington WESTERN CONFERENCE Central - Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Nashville, St. Louis Northwest - Calgary, Edmonton, Minnesota, Vancouver, Winnipeg Pacific - Anaheim, Colorado, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Jose OR THIS: EASTERN CONFERENCE Atlantic - Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, N.Y. Islanders, N.Y. Rangers, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Washington Northeast - Boston, Buffalo, Montreal, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Quebec, Toronto WESTERN CONFERENCE Central - Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Minnesota, Nashville, St. Louis Pacific - Anaheim, Calgary, Colorado, Edmonton, Los Angeles, San Jose, Vancouver, Winnipeg DETROIT & COLUMBUS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO STAY IN THE WEST FOR NOW
  4. Now there are rumors that the Big East might pursue San Diego State. I know geography doesn't mean jack anymore but come on!
  5. I would like to see a new arena in Hartford not a refurbished civic center.
  6. I would like to introduce Big East football to a fork
  7. Nothing really new, just an update. Meanwhile, WVU is suing the Big East saying the Big East left them no choice but to leave the conference and they should be able to leave to be part of the Big XII by the 2012 school year. Of the 6 which accept? and which decline?
  8. I'm on board with how oddball & DCDuck feel. College football tradition is slowly dying in favor of more money and godzilla sized tv ratings. College football's slow death began in my eyes when Nebraska-Oklahoma stopped playing. Smaller regional conferences are a lot more fun than these mega leagues.
  9. Someone grab a shotgun and take Big East Football behind the barn
  10. Once the Coyotes move to Quebec (Bettman wake up bro!) hopefully the NHL can stabilize and avoid anymore franchises relocating. I agree with DaytonBlue about Columbus, Dallas and St. Louis. I think they will be alright in the long run. The Florida Panthers might be the only other team I could see relocating.
  11. I don't even think that's 1,200 people If Bettman still insists on keeping this team in Phoenix he needs to be locked in a small box for life.
  12. Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State might be a solution for the Pac-12 then. It always about football but you would get 1 great basketball program and 3 decent ones as well.
  13. Let's say hypothetically in a few years Oklahoma & Oklahoma State do join the SEC. So then the Pac-12 will add 4 among these 7 schools: Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, BYU
  14. Alabama doesn't want to risk losing it's rivalry game with Tennessee if Auburn had moved to the East. Anyone want to take a real good guess on which 2 schools realistically will join the SEC to make it a 16 team conference I said this a couple weeks ago: I believe the SEC will make one more pitch to Oklahoma about joining the conference, especially since the Pac-12 looks content on staying at 12 for the immediate future. I don't think the SEC would frown upon taking the duo of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. They could do a lot worse. Then you could put both Alabama & Auburn in the East EAST Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt WEST Arkansas,LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M

  16. The atmosphere would be great for an Army-Navy game at Yankee Stadium but future sites have already been announced through 2017. I guess they could change one.
  17. An easy W for Oklahoma and Texas. good answer, good answer. 99.9% surveyed said that.
  18. What does Louisville bring to the Big 12 football wise?
  19. If I were the basketball only schools currently in the Big East I would say sayonara, see you later and adios.
  20. McGill to the Ivy League?!?! Or the University of Toronto to the Big East?!?! I can't wait to see what this rumor amounts to In other reel-line-mint news, word's coming out that UConn was to be the 2nd ACC invite with Syracuse, but that move was struck down by no other than Boston College. Still no love lost between those two from the 2004 ACC raid it looks like Why in the hell does BC have so much pull. They have done nothing in the ACC. Who cares if they're in the Boston media market either.
  21. Where's the love for Hawaii? Rutgers vetoed it down
  22. The New Wild Frontier Conference: Oregon West Virginia Florida State Rutgers Minnesota Texas Tech BYU Penn State
  23. Big XII North Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State South Baylor, Houston, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech -Texas and Oklahoma can dominate their divisions for years to come and meet in the Big XII championship pretty much every year. -If Missouri leaves then go with BYU in the North
  24. I hope college and pro sports kills itself. Ha Ha.
