  1. Didn't that asswipe Adelson also buy the Las Vegas Review-Journal to quiet their views on taxpayers not funding stadiums.
  2. Even still you would probably get more Raiders fans outnumbering Chargers fans for a Los Angeles Chargers vs. Oakland/San Diego/San Antonio/Las Vegas/Bakersfield/Fresno Raiders game in the LA Coliseum and eventually Kroenke Field.
  3. and the dude only played 2 years in the NFL before calling it a career and becoming rich off of Hardee's and Flagstar. Every time he makes a public appearance all I can think of is an episode of Matlock. Seersucker suits anyone!
  4. Like how Jacobs threw in Houston but we can't get in the building comment.
  5. Stockton Heat & Bakersfield Condors to play outdoor game at Raley Field in Sacramento (December 18).
  6. Carolina rumors swirling: http://www.si.com/nhl/2015/08/26/carolina-hurricanes-sale-quebec-move http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/luke-decock/article32357781.html
  7. It was only six seasons between the Cardinals leaving and the Rams arriving in St. Louis. Would St. Louis fans sit around and wait a possible 10 years for another team to come back?
  8. I still think it's stupid of Spanos to abandon a good San Diego market. If he wants to be in LA so bad then so be it. The Raiders on the other hand might want to start begging Dork York to share Erector Set Stadium.
  9. A nice divisional setup for Sun Belt football in 2017: East Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, South Alabama, Troy West Arkansas State, Idaho, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, New Mexico State, Texas State
  10. San Jose Snowflakes of the Silicon Valley would more apropos.
  11. Houston & Kansas City ain't getting squat. As for Columbus, they're not going anywhere.
  12. So it's Vegas or Seattle for the Coyotes in 2017 if the NHL decides to totally drop expansion. As some of us think, Quebec City gets hung out to dry.
  13. Soon the NHL will be expanding to Mudlick, Kentucky and Truth or Consequences, New Mexico just to avoid returning to Quebec City.
  14. NHL "accidentally" misplaces Quebec City's expansion application. Bettman swears "It was here a minute ago". In the meantime NHL oddly awards Las Vegas both expansion teams.
  15. I'm expecting just that. Vegas & Suburbeattle get the teams while we wait around until 2035 when Bettman & The Yotes go kicking & screaming into Quebec City.
  16. uhh, you sure? They just signed Anders Lindback. OK completely ignore everything I just wrote.
  17. If Vegas has to have an NHL squad at least the Coyotes resemble some semblance of a hockey team (player wise) instead of some crappy expansion team they could end up with.
  18. Hey Seattle could please hurry and try and get an arena built so you can take the Sharks & Barracuda off our hands. Thank You. Much Appreciated.
  19. Looks like former 49ers & Browns CEO Carmen Policy is getting involved in the Carson project.
  20. A's to San Jose is all but dead. The Giants aren't budging and the league seems inclined to let them hold their line. On top of that a transfer of the SJ stadium land from the city to a successor agency has been deemed in violation of the law so it may be thrown out. And SJ has lost 2 court rounds on their anti-trust litigation. On top of that the A's signed a 10 year lease on the Coliseum this off season. The Raiders plan on the other hand is "gurgling blood" and will be dead by July. After that they'll likely announce they're heading to LA probably for 2016. The Warriors are already gone. Their arena plan in SF just got an environmental impact exemption and their only opposition was outed as a couple of malcontent developers, not the grassroots group they claimed to be. They've got full city support (which is nearly unheard of in SF politics). So they'll be in SF by 2018. Plus San Jose is dealing with the Sharks situation as well. From Field of Schemes:
