  1. I don't think this is a very unpopular opinion at all, at least on these boards. I've honestly not heard much in the way of either supporting or being against this or the new look. I just figured the majority of people were against it. But I LOVE it!
  2. I LOVED the Diamondbacks' old purple, teal, gold and black color scheme. I HATE the Raiders' throwbacks with silver numbers
  3. Would the Big East also jettison some of the basketball only schools in this scenario? Could be added as football-only members other than Nova. Not sure of the details beyond they may be added. Would certainly be interesting.
  4. Rumor I heard recently. Big East adds: -Houston -UCF -Villanova C-USA adds: -Louisiana Tech -Temple Just a rumor for now, but there it is.
  5. I can't see the Mountain West bothering with Idaho, regardless of whether Boise wants them or not. Why would they want them? They don't bring a history of success or a major market or anything. They have a dome, but it's tiny as can be. I also don't see why they'd ever want New Mexico State or San Jose State or even Utah State. I also don't see Louisiana Tech getting into C-USA. Every team except for Marshall added by C-USA in the last realignment was from a pretty major market (UTEP, Rice, SMU, Tulsa, UCF). Ruston, Louisiana is not a major market. And there also isn't the excuse of on-field success for La Tech. So unless C-USA teams start moving around (realignment's about football, so I don't see Memphis going anywhere) La Tech has nowhere to go other than maybe the Sun Belt, and even if there is movement by C-USA, I don't think they necessarily want to pick up La Tech.
  6. Both cases aren't likely. Butler's case is location. Indianapolis, while being in the footprint of the MVC, is pretty much the heart of the Horizon's footprint. I don't think that Butler would leave it's home (and trips to major metro areas in the Midwest like Detroit, Cleveland, Green Bay, Milwaukee and Chicago) for one that is larger in scope. The Sun Belt is probably happy as hell to get rid of Denver. They were the oddball in the Sun Belt, so seeing Denver join the WAC in 2012 makes the Sun Belt happy. Adding anyone right now is probably not on the radar unless they can find a way to convince UALR to get a football program going (or not. 11 members with 10 playing football is just as good). I've been waiting for Denver to move out of the Belt for a long time and I suspect the rest of the conference had been waiting as well. I don't think anything is going to happen with UALR. They're certainly not going to add football anytime soon but I also don't see them being pushed out by the conference. After all, they didn't push Denver out for all those years. The Sun Belt could maybe add Louisiana Tech, but I think they've burned their bridges with ULM, ULL and well, the rest of the conference.
