January 2nd, 2005 The Last game before the new Logo and uniform took over. And the day after Utah vs Pittsburgh in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl!  Arizona Cardinals vs Tampa Bay.Bucs

Interesting that they kept the 2-point conversion line at the 3 yard line (the college distance of course) for this game. One small detail that can easily be overlooked, so good catch.

It was supposed to be painted over, I have a little tweeking on this field before it is done, There are 5 diffrent versions of this field over the nearly 15 years before they canged to the current uniforms and alogs. I just updated the field. Removing the "X" for the kick off lines. And the painted extra point line and moved it to the 2 yd .

I believe I finally perfected the Arizona Cardinals font, back in the old Sun Devil Stadium days, So Here is a piviotal game in that stadium Decemeber 28th, 2003. The day the Cardnals' knocked the Minnesota Vikings out of the Playoffs. 

I Just loved the Santa hat on the Jags logo. Back in a time field art was just that! ART!

They did paint on a gradient, although I think the way it was done on the field is different from what I have. I copied the jersey gradient, but I think it has too much black compared to the actual field. I'm going to have to go back and re-do the endzones, and the vote logo as well.

I saw a picture of twitter. It looks like the used small "Boxes" to create the gradient. At our scale, I am not sure if it will be possible. But I wanted to let you know.

Update,

I found a tape of the lowest attended game in USFL history. Only 4307 showed up in Soldier Field on a rainy Monday May 28,1984. New Jersey Generals vs The Chicago Bltiz. The Blitz, did use an unpainted Wishbone "C" at midfield. And painted the outlines of the wordmark "Chicago" a faint red, in the end zones.

Up next is the 1984 Pittsburgh Maulers! Three Rivers Stadium, Pittsburgh,PA

Late Season 1984

Very odd that the team used the painted logo for the early part of the season. And then the second half no logo at all.

New Update, and with a lots of research (I had to create the endzone font by scratch).

I also revamped the 1983 Chapmionship game (Philidaelpia Stars vs Michigan Panthers) I had forgoten the 3 yrd stripe on the Stars side of the field.

And Now the 1985 Championship Field (Baltimore Stars vs Oakland Invaders).

The full sized images are far too large to upload to any image hosting website, and we tried uploading them to the GUD servers once, but that filled the disk space rather quickly.

I can remember that hosting problem. All the fields I have made as also stored on a back up Hard Drive as well as 3 flash drives. It just feels good to sart up again on fields.

Awesome job@pitt6pack. Sorry I have been off the boards for a long time. I have been working really long hours @ the Home Depot call center, and now working at home as a Home Depot chat associate. It will free me up again to get some stuff done (Like finishing those pesky USFL Fields).

I did notice that they added a very thin (about 2 inches wide) black line between the Chiefs teambox and the yellow line at the front of the teambox.

I'm working on my final textured version; hoping to finish that up tonight.

Yea, I think the color began to fade a bit before the game. They Painted on Saturday afternoon, If I saw that correct. I did not catch the Thin Black line though. I got to the game just before kickoff, due to Baseball meeting requirements!
