There's something so low-rent about Al Michaels being on streaming. I don't even like the idea of the NFL being on cable.

At least he will no longer have to deal with Cris Collinsworth creeping up on him like a desperate guy at a bar counter.

The Philly complex model is a bit of a mixed bag, it's still on a subway line at least but also has parking for all the suburbanites and tailgaters, and there's never a question of land when it's time to build a new stadium. I'm surprised they haven't built out more of an outdoor mall thing there, just that utterly bizarre "Xfinity Live" complex. But in a city like Philadelphia it does feel weird to be so apart from the city itself.

Not having been to Philadelphia, but by looking at location on the map, is it anything like getting to a Mets game?

Toronto's out to a 24-4 start over the Lakers in LA.

And the Lakers are still likely to make the play-in game.

Maybe they should cancel that this year.

    Even I wasn't expecting a 33-12 quarter.

Maybe Chicago? One of the Texas teams?

You're probably right that Neymar, Messi and Ronaldo end up in the marquee markets, but it sure would be exciting if one of them ended up in a Charlotte, Austin, Columbus or, of course, Seattle.

There's a marketing opportunity waiting to happen...  Cristiano Columbus

Well, nothing in the New South is really built to last, so I'm not totally surprised, but it's still obnoxious. I can understand those cheapo '70s domes not standing the test of time, but I would think that by the late '90s, we would have figured out stadium construction and maintenance a little better. I mean, this place ain't Madison Square Garden; most of the year it just sits there not doing anything. How much could you have let it go to crap unless you were trying to?

...and on top of that the stadium is surrounded by a Gila River Arena parking lot that is also not doing anything. If a stadium was such a great investment,  all the owners would have paid for it themselves. A city is better off having a souless mall at the same location.

The Tennessee Titans are allegedly looking into a new stadium.

I don’t know enough or really anything about their current stadium, but what is so wrong with it that it needs an upgrade besides some billionaire demanding welfare?

Look at it this way though.... it is not like it is in as bad a shape as FedEx Field....

The mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems need to be completely replaced. The window system throughout the building is so antiquated that it is not even manufactured anymore."
