That's Ms win was amazing. After they were down 4-0 I was ready to hope for the best tomorrow, but here we go! No matter what, Seattle is hosting a home playoff game for the first time in 21 years. Tickets are going to be stupid expensive, but I'm going to try.

Terrible loss for the Jays; that crowd was amped and deserves a winner.

For the sake of some consistency I say this: no fan base "deserves" a winner.  Yes, this hurts, but maybe I've seen too many Leafs playoff failures that this doesn't seem to hurt nearly as much.

They have failed this city and the rest of Canada...

    OK... sure, Jan....

Yes, it was an epic collapse, but I would argue (even though I was too young to notice)  the 1985 ALCS was tougher to swallow.

Based on a casual read of local media, everyone hates Buoy.

And I can't blame them. It's a really unappealing figure. The Mariners have a moose, the Seahawks have a roided hawk, and the Sonics had Sasquatch. Those are/were all nicer and more approachable than a focus-tested "sea troll" with a stupid blue nose.

...and an anchor for an earring... which of course is meant to sink.

The Judge chase has to be one of the most meaningless, overhyped stories in recent memory. He tied a league record in a sport where leagues practically don’t matter anymore, putting himself now tied for seventh all-time and eight back. Setting aside feelings about steroids, this whole thing wouldn’t have raised a single eyebrow if anyone but a Yankee was involved.

I happen to agree with this. Yet, as someone who believes 73 is the record (and happen to witness two of those), the number 61, and even 755, still stands out more for me.

Dolphins were practicing at University of Cincinnati today.  Many Dolphins fans are not pleased that students and Bengals fans were able to film the practice calling it "Spygate 2.0". Keep in mind these are students and local fans filming, not anyone in the Bengals organization themselves. The issue here is Nippert Stadium is an open unsecured facility in the middle of campus. Students regularly walk the steps and play pickup games on the field, and walk to classes through the stadium. If the Dolphins didnt want this to happen they should have gone to a secured facility.

I have always wondered why Giants/Jets games don't have the endzones like this. I think it would be pretty cool.

Edit: It apparently happened once in 1984.

Somewhat unrelated, but the new year's day game between the Rams and Chargers is going to seem weird since it is a Chargers home game, but Kroenke owns the stadium

This is the same thought I be having in the preseason and/or when starting QBs go down and their backups come in. I be like, "WHO?" like, I hear of some college QBs going into the draft...but then you get to the preseason and wonder where half these dudes came from. Like Cooper Rush, Tyler Huntley (who I kept thinking was Brett Hundley from UCLA a couple years back), Mike White of the Jets, David Blough in Detroit...like who are these guys, and where the heck did they even come from, much less how'd they make it onto an NFL roster? (Oh yeah, the guy who backs up Joe Burrow in Cincinnati...never heard of him, either. I can't even remember his name; I just know I never heard of him.)

I found out Chase Daniel (Chargers) has been around since 2010, has 178/261 (68.2%) passing for 1694 yards and supposedly made over $40+ million in career earnings.

We should all strive to be good enough to get by on a decent salary, but without the workload. 🤣

  8. If Alex Smith was a bust, then he would only have been a bust for the 49ers.  The Niners were the ones who chose Smith . That is on the TEAM.  Yes, Smith wasn't great by any means, but I feel too often of the "bust" label puts too much of burden on the player.

Had Smith had the same kind of career as a 2nd round pick, would we even be having this discussion?

Habs fans hate it. Non Habs fans hate.

Everybody hates it except RBC, who are licking their lips, as we speak.

My only hope is that fans don't buy jerseys with ads and their merch sales plummet.

or even just stop watching the NHL
