I love tennis and I really should watch it more often. Tried to go to the WTA event here in Cincinnati a few weeks back and it got rained out. But had a hell of a good time watching Serena's last match on Friday and Tiafoe taking down Nadal yesterday. I've been waiting for Tiafoe to put it all together like that for a long time. We are in desperate need for a rockstar American player in men's tennis again and I think he could be that guy.

We have been waiting for the next generation to step up against the likes of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic.  In any other era, the likes of Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka would have won at least five majors instead of three.

I went to the US open three years ago, and I enjoyed it. I had only the grounds pass, so i could not get into Arthur Ashe, but I could go to all the other courts. For me,  it was more enjoyable being up close at the outer courts especially during doubles matches.

I don't get it how it's totally okay and the NBA teams let their players play in such meaningless extra-curricular pro-am leagues, when the international tournaments that actually bear meaning are frowned upon and approached with such caution and some players aren't even permitted to participate, like this year's Heat rookie Nikola Jovic or Juancho Hernangomez just recently while with the Wolves.

These meaningless pro-am games are nothing more than public practices for the players. They are not going all-out for 40+ minutes each time. Players are just as likely to get injured on their own private workouts than a charity event.

With the FIBA tournaments, the players are going hard every game because they are meaningful. Which means they are more likely to wear down.

Many fans are already calling it PayJoe Stadium.

While Im disappointed that they didnt keep Paul Brown in some part of the name, at least its a local company.

Also disappointed that the company wasnt Pure Romance (a sex toy company, based in Cincinnati) so that we could have Pure Romance for the Bengals and The Tickle (TQL Stadium) for FC Cincinnati.

You could always have something to be sponsored like "this 4th and inches is brought to you by.... "

Can we stop with this gatekeeping sports fandom. If your money time and energy goes to supporting the team then you're part of it. They don't play without revenue.

Nah. You are part of the experience  but you are not part of the team.

You're not training. You're not coaching. You're not scouting. You're not even the receptionist.

Most years, you can be a good team, play like crap, and still beat FC Cincinnati.

    Not this year.

We played like crap and FC Cincinnati beat us 3-1.

Pat Noonan is doing a very good job with them.

    What position do you play?

Miazga was once the next big thing for the USMNT defense and was real hot when he moved from NYRB to Chelsea, but never seemingly panned out having rarely been a consistent first teamer anywhere he’s been. Also a cautionary tale for players moving to Big Clubs but Big Club just ends up loaning you out to a different other club every year. Maybe he’ll be a real star again if he can manage to actually get established some place.

Yes, I think it is often the best option  for a player to end up at a club at a step below if it meant getting meaningful playing time. But too often, the big clubs, like Chelsea, can make an offer that a club like Leicester cannot match.

Any truth to the rumour that they're going to memorialize the exact location where Ultimate Warrior pressed Hulk Hogan over his head with a statue that may or may not actually be in the field of play?

They put such a statue beside the Ted Rogers one.
