1. Writer for the Tally paper sees the writing on the wall.
2. Agree with Hedley FSU and Clemson is a soft package. FSU is being a friend right now but if VT wanted in and the Big 12 wanted VT then FSU will say OK. FSU is wanted, though. I think Clemson is wanted but not as much as FSU. The Big 12 is going to at least 12 and FSU will be one. I think Clemson is 95% in. Only a couple of monkey wrenches can through them off. VT and ND. Florida is a good prize in the CFB world.
3. I'm just saying im confident about Clemson and FSU. Rest is speculation. The Big 12 will get 12. The Big 12 will get some SEC territory. You didn't answer my question. Do you really think the Big 12 is staying at 10?
4. Yup. BOT's dont do what our's did unless something has been going on. Why was FSU and Clemson talked about in SEC expansion? Because they wanted out but didnt get the invite. Big 12 said, we are stable now, come on over. Now it is all protocol. I only did A&M as an example but I could link similar time lines for TCU WVU and Mizzou. Still wondering if DFW actually believes that.
5. Embarrassed? Thought you have been keeping track of all of this. Hell, you started the thread. So do you disagree with me? Even though this was the protocol for Mizzou, A&M, WVU and TCU. Are you sold on 10?
6. Are you new at this? Lawyer talk to avoid tampering. Cant say anything till the programs they want leave their current conference. Big 12 said this before TCU and WVU. Bout to link some articles about the SEC saying no to 14 then picking up A&M a short time after. Tampering, DFW. The SEC says no to A&M 8/14/2011 A&M leaves the Big 12 8/30/2011 A&M join SEC 9/26/2011 What is FSU and Clemson going to do now? Follow protocol to get in to avoid tampering. Rookie
7. So? As stated earlier. FSU would have been better off trying to talk Notre Dame into joining with them. Or BYU. Notre Dame, yes. BYU? Stop it.
8. Don't get me wrong. I think Clemson is in if only two thing happen. 1. VT turns down the Big 12 for the SEC. 2. FSU says they come with us. Personally, I think VT is too much for the SEC to turn down and FSU needs a SE partner to cut down on travel. A partner that is invested in football. Clemson may have been the paper tigers but they invest. That big, full stadium helps, too. Miami is about to get the hammer and they already announced budget cuts to the AD. They may be "dead".
9. Me and several others see it the opposite from you so I'm not worried. We will see.
10. Assuming they surface. If FSU goes, Clemson goes. FSU is going. Besides, this wouldn't go this far if there weren't chats going on. This is 2012. "Meetings" dont have to happen for people to get things in order. "Meetings" are where the formalities are done. They are in. Both were just waiting and see what kind of deal Swofford was going to hatch. The deal was bogus so now they bolt. They have been talking with the Big 12 intensely since January. You may not see the writing, but I do.
11. Clemson's meeting is over. As expected they said they will highly consider other options.
12.

More importantly, the Big XII does not meet until next week and Bowlsby does not start until June 15. I think that is when the denials stop happening. I remember Mizzou's higher ups were denying everything for the longest time. But who knows? Like I said a few pages back. Speculation but fun. I am still a believer in where there is smoke there is fire.
13. MOD EDIT: Please stick to discussing the topic at hand. There's no need for personal attacks. Thank you.
14. And just like in football no one will take them seriously. And that's why FSU has lost 4 of their last 6 games with Wake. It happens. But don't be clueless for the sake of trolling. Grow up and stick to the topic. I have been an adult, why cant you?
15. And just like in football no one will take them seriously.
16. Here is a funny post from a blogger. It is on the reaction of the coming conference shift. There is one picture pretty graphic in violence so click with caution. It isn't real but they did a good job. Most are dead on. Especially Swofford.
17. Clemson is currently having an emergency meeting for undisclosed reasons. Hmmmm.....
18. I hope they like Ro-Tel down in SEC-Land Never heard of anything Ro-Tel until today. No lie, I am eating Ro-Tel Velveta Shells & Cheese as I type. LOL, It is a sign of things to come.
19. A couple of sources are saying that GT and the Big 10 are talking with a few other ACC teams.
20. They will find someone. Remember, The Pac 12 may always be the last horse to cross the finish line but it always crosses. The SEC went to 14 to get to 16. They will get there and this is the perfect time to do so. If so, the Big 10 will follow. May take longer than the others but the Pac 12 will adopt a pod system soon enough. One or two who don't really belong may just get in by default. Like PK is saying, who???? But it will happen one day.
21. Don't read too much in to it but Austin radio reports that FSU, Clemson, Notre Dame and a partner with ND will be joining. Georgia Tech looks to be that partner. ND will join in olympic sports in 2013 and football in 2016. That is when NBC expires. Notre Dame network will begin. This was also repeated by a few SEC and BIg 12 insiders. Says VT is all but in the SEC and NC State is #1 to follow. We will see.
22. FSU is the latest, greatest example. Their prez tried to stick up for the ACC and academics. Now he is about to be fired for it. If the SEC had to choose between Vandy or LSU to keep, who would the choose? Pac 12, USC or Stanford? exactly. BOLD PREDICTION: Notre Dame ends up somewhere with in a year.
23. Yeah, but research dollars can be just as plentiful, if not more so, than anything the athletic department brings in. And who would those schools be for the PAC 12 to look at? That is the point. As long as Boise St football can bring in money and ratings they will be considered. Now do they meet the money and ratings requirements? I don't know but you all are vastly overrating academics in all of this.
