So what sun belt teams are acceptable and what aren't?
I'm no expert, but I think degree of success would be the logical answer here.

This is really interesting.. I would love to see what goes all into making those work.
This is a much smaller broadcast than a Stanley Cup Playoff game, but it will give you the basic idea. They're setting up the graphics package that goes with the replay. You see the final result on the picture-in-picture at the bottom right of the screen. Their high five afterwards is not normal truck behavior, but it does give you an idea of how tricky they thought the move was going to be.

Because
all stupid never gets old...
For the record, this was either the graphics person was going for the empty net graphic, loaded the goal graphic by accident, and it couldn't correct it before the director called for it. Or...the graphics person was loading up the goal graphic just in case Florida scored and it accidentally got on air. Could have been a matter of that particular graphic still being in program instead of preview. Either way, it's a common mistake and it's one I have made myself many times. Things can get really hectic in the production truck. There's nothing to see here.

Titans would have been far smarter to spend that pick on University of Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker. At least choosing a QB from the most popular college football team in the Titans' current home state would have helped to soften the blow of the stadium deal.
While the University of Kentucky may not be a traditional powerhouse in football, it is still easy for me, at least, to imagine my (and any other Titans fan's) personal displeasure over the choice of Levis over Hooker being precisely what many fans of the Detroit Lions -- who took Hooker last night in the draft's third round -- would feel and express if and when the Lions choose to draft a skill position player from The Ohio State University instead of a comparably talented and equally available University of Michigan player at the same position.
Another thing that I am noticing in the realm of "Titans Twitter" is a common labeling of Levis as "Jake Locker 2.0" -- a concern that Levis has too many of the same flaws as the University of Washington QB that the Titans selected in the 2011 draft's first round. If you ask me, an at least equally valid and equally unflattering comparison of Levis to a past Titans draft pick at QB would be to the 2006 draft's third overall pick, Vince Young ... with Hendon Hooker being the equivalent of whom I have always wished that the Titans took with that pick, Matt Leinart.
I have always regarded -- and probably will always regard -- the selection of Vince Young to have been a lose-lose situation for the Titans and Matt Leinart. I think that the Titans would have won more games and enjoyed more and deeper postseason runs had they chosen Leinart in the first round in 2006,
NFL teams don't care about college rivalries when drafting players. The overwhelming majority of NFL fans don't care about college rivalries when their team is drafting either. I'm an Ohio State alum and a Browns fan. I couldn't care less that the Browns have drafted Michigan players over the years.
Matt Leinhart sucked. I doubt being drafted by the Titans would have changed that.

I watched quite a few Kentucky games last season. Granted, I'm not an expert talent evaluator, but in the games I watched, I never saw what the draft experts see in Will Levis. He's a guy I'd take a flyer on in round three or later, but there's no way I'd use a first round pick on him.

For better or for worse, that wordmark size will never be part of the NFL aesthetic.
I don't see why it can't be. Sure it breaks tradition, but if it works in college,
It doesn't. We're just used to it in college.

Also, would people like to see a "pronouns" field added?
Just my opinion, but I think there is too much potential for problems. I wish I could say it wouldn't be an issue in our community and that no one would use it as reason to cause trouble or attack people, but I know better. This isn't exactly a political issue, but it has a lot of the same pitfalls that we've seen with politics over the years. I could be wrong, but I'm probably not.

Ok mod hat on.
TruColor has proven his bonafides as a trustworthy source time and again, and has ALWAYS walked the line between sharing news and not compromising his sources exceptionally well.
He's also one of the people to thank for our community being what it is today. Many people, myself included, found the CCSLC through his SSUR site back in the day.
In this case he passed along information from a source that was clearly lying to him. It's not his fault. We've all been duped before.
So let me make this clear. This will not became a "badger TruColor" thread. If it continues to trend in that direction it will be locked and the responsible parties will be disciplined.
Thank you all for your expected cooperation.
Quoting this because some of you didn't seem to get the message the first time. I'll just add this. TruColor stated numerous times that the info he was receiving could be of questionable veracity. He never once claimed otherwise. The guy was never anything but 100% honest with you. I don't know which part of "what this person is telling me may not be true" is tripping up some of you geniuses, but you need to get over it and right quick.
Thank you all in advance for getting past it and acting like adults again.

That's the thing. I really like the INTENT behind these, but the execution is off just enough to keep me from liking them.
Exactly. I don't dislike them, but I can't really say I like them either. They have the same kind of designed by committee meeting vibe that the Brady era Pats uniforms had. It looks like there were some good ideas, but those ideas were compromised by committee to the point no where no one was happy with the result. These are definitely an improvement over the clown suits we had to endure for all those years, but they could have been so much more.

I can't prove it, but I know it's true. The Cardinals road uniform is a rejected Ohio State Pro Combat uniform from 2008.

The new set is basically a modern version of this. The stripes, the lack of stripe on the red jersey, the facemask being grey/silver. All nearly the same details
Your definition of nearly isn't...well...nearly the same as mine. The new set is way more THE Oklahoma SoonerStateBuckeyes than it is retro Cardinals.

This could have been a lot worse so there's that, I guess.
The good:
Turns out it wasn't a Virginia Tech nightmare after all.
The helmet seems to be pretty much the same. They didn't do something stupid with it.
Wear the white pants with the home jersey and it's a solid look.
Red socks with the all white or red pants with the white jersey are solid looks.
The black jersey with the white pants could be OK - they won't look anything like the Cardinals, but at least it's not desert gray.
They didn't go with some stupid number font that is based on the fierceness of the mighty Desert Cardinal or whatever bull-
Nike would have come up with to justify it.
The bad:
ARIZONA on the home jersey looks stupid.
The white set looks like a rejected Ohio State Pro Combat uniform from 2008.
Did we really need another monochrome black uniform?
Even though the looks are all pretty simple, this set still screams "respecting the past while looking to the future" and yet again, that approach has failed miserably.
If you're looking to go retro, either fully embrace it (Bucs, Browns) or don't bother.
Overall: I give it a solid Meh. Way better than their previous set, but not quite close enough to the retro look to be truly great. Basically, they decided to go with being half-pregnant.

In the middle of a corn field. Cleveland is on the lake, Cincinnati is on the Ohio River, even Toledo is on the Maumee River and has a suburb on the lake. Columbus has no natural charm. It just sits there as a monument to...well...I'm not sure what, insurance companies and concrete, I suppose. One could argue that Columbus has the Olentangy River, but I don't know why they would.
