You're also way overestimating how often the better or higher seeded team wins in the playoffs.

There's no need to estimate it, over or otherwise. You can look it up. In the AFC last year #3 Cincinnati beating  #2 Buffalo  was the only playoff game in which the lower seed won. In the NFC #5 Dallas beat #4 Tampa Bay, but Tampa got the #4 seed by winning the division at 8-9. Dallas was clearly the better team. The only real "upset" was the #6 Giants beating the #3 Vikings. The Super Bowl was a match up between #1 seeds. I'm not going to go back and look through all the years since 1990,  but I'm pretty sure the higher seed wins way more often than it loses.

They have 1 Super Bowl win. You have to win the AFC Championship game to win the Super Bowl and they did not do that last year by any definition of the word "win".

And this Chiefs team is not the same team as the won that won their first Super Bowl. That team was loaded and this one is not.

The only definition of win in the NFL is scoring more points than your opponent. If the Chiefs didn't win the AFC Championship Game last year "by any definition", how did they still end up in the Super Bowl?

Last year's Chiefs weren't the same team that won Super Bowl IV either, (although it would be hilarious if they were) but it still counts.

I can't decide if you're just trolling or if you really are this silly. Either way, it's kind of amusing.

It's like everyone annually gets Collective September Amnesia and forgets how long the season actually is.

Exactly. Overreaction Monday after week one is always a hoot. The reality is Burrow had  practiced about five times since the calf injury, the weather conditions were terrible for a QB who had practiced about five times, and the Browns have some sort of voodoo magic when they play the Bengals.  If the 3-1 Bengals lose that game in the exact same fashion in week five, it's just a fluke and a bump in the road. But a "could see it coming from a mile away" clunker in week one means the season is shot and Burrow's contract was a huge mistake.

    NFL fans are funny.

It's a tough gig, but someone has to do it. 😎

Annual medicine taking from Browns fans. Let us have it. Maybe this will be the year it actually ends up mattering.

I ain't saying :censored:. I've been here way too many times to fall for this again. I'll believe the Browns are going 12-5 when the season ends and the Browns are 12-5. (Honestly, I'm not entirely sure I'll believe it if it happens.)  Until then, I see this win as nothing more than one of those "Team A has team B's number and no one understands why" deals.

I don’t really have a problem with Sanders, but I still think Colorado is going to win, like, two games this season. Big win last weekend, but I still think it’s going to be an anomaly compared to the rest of the season.

Best case scenario is they go 7-5. They're going to be fun to watch, but I think they're going to be on the short end of shootouts more often than not.

I don't see the issue at all with Coach Prime.

Neither do I. Coach Prime is fun, he seems to be a pretty good coach, and Colorado was actually relevant and fun to watch last week. How long the Buffs will stay competitive remains to be seen, but as of right now, it's a good story and it certainly has people talking. I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I even like the cowboy hat. Coach Prime is a breath of fresh air in the stodgy (and mostly idiotic) fraternity of football coaches. We need more coaches like him, not less.

As one of the old guys here, seeing people half my age pitching a :censored: over a harmless nickname is pretty funny. Don't get old before your time, kids.

I hope Colorado gets pounded without mercy tomorrow and honestly all season long.

And that stupid oversized cowboy hat makes him look like a complete douche.

    I'm loving Coach Prime.

I'm pretty sure they know whats going on. Harbaugh is there during practice and its not like they're playing Penn State, Michigan State and Ohio State. They're playing scrub teams

Exactly. All the rivalry stuff aside, I don't think Michigan would  have any trouble with that part of the schedule even if I were coaching them.

Always felt bad for the White Sox growing up because their drought was basically just as long as the Cubs and Red Sox, but they never got any of the same sympathy or cache.

Three things always come to mind when I think of the White Sox.

All the different uniforms they've had.

Knuckleballer Wilbur Wood went 24-20 for the White Sox in 1973. Everyone made a big deal of him winning 20 and losing 20.
