I think you discussed this on multiple BASS episodes as well.
BASS, Basically a Football Show, here. Hell, I even sent it to Sports Illustrated after I read an article about how screwed up the BCS was. That's probably what led to it being stolen.

Sorry - that wasn't a shot. I was calling you a visionary.
I didn't take it as a shot. I was just patting myself on the back some more.

Visionary
You can look it up. It's somewhere in the 2010 College Football thread. Pretty sure I re-posted it many times over the years. The only real difference is my playoff was 8 teams. Other than that, they're doing pretty much exactly what I proposed.

College football going in the right direction..
Players earning money
A true playoff format
Nice of College Football to finally implement a 12 team version of the plan I came up with 12 years ago right here on these boards.

Cleveland is going to get a heck of a punter on the cheap.
Harsh, but accurate, probably.

Huh? Doesn't every NFL team have a local radio partner that pays them tons of money to broadcast their games?
Yes. Westwood One only has the rights to national radio broadcasts. All the teams have their own local radio deals as well as local TV deals for preseason games. Sirius/XM has the rights to carry local radio broadcasts as part of its NFL package.

Rats, I was in the middle of typing a response.
You can always send it in a DM. I seriously doubt it will change his mind, but it's an option.

You've made your points, fellas. Best I can tell, no one is changing their mind on the matter. How about we circle back to the actual topic of the thread?
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

It could be such a thing that NFL Films does contract-for-hire work.
That's my guess as well.

This will likely be the issue for all fields that are NFL-controlled. Unless the NFL has a stake in a spring league, they are, IMO, unlikely to grant the use of their facilities.
Fun fact from the USFL Championship Game - these guys were there.

@infrared41 said that he encountered people from Philadelphia that made the trek down to Alabama for the championship game, and that blows my mind,
The game was in Canton at the Pro Football HOF stadium.

In all honesty, they demolished the entire old stadium and built brand new. It's just they renamed the old Stadium in its final season to Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, then spent a year tearing down the old Stadium and building a new one slightly closer to the school. Then gave the new stadium the same name they gave the previous stadium had in its final year.
It would be like saying FirstEnergy Stadium is the old Municipal Stadium.
How is that not a major upgrade?

Some quick thoughts on being at the game.
- The facility is top notch. The upgrades they've done to the place are amazing. It's easy to get around, the concourses are wide, the food was decently priced, and the staff was great. There isn't a bad seat in the house. A+
- The crowd was WAY bigger than I thought it was going to be. I'd guess that the stadium was about 85-90% full. The Stallions seemed to be the crowd favorite. There were quite a few people who traveled from Birmingham and Philadelphia to see the game.
- The stadium and the USFL did a fantastic job with everything. I had a great time. You won't find a better $20 deal in all of sports.
10 out of 10.

Canton is a great place to see a football game. The hall of fame game was an annual guys trip for me and a few buddies for almost twenty years. The last time I was there was for a game was the return of the Browns at the HOF Game in '99. They've done a major upgrade to the place and...WOW.

Yours truly will be at the USFL Championship Game tonight.

What's next for the Big Ten? Gonna grab Colorado College of Mines
It's The Colorado School of Mines and if there were any justice in the universe, adding them to the Big Ten would be exactly what happens next.

How can Tom Brady possibly provide almost $400 million of value talking football?
He can't. Brady is the next Joe Montana of broadcasting and that isn't a compliment.
