  1. It looks similar to the logo used 1956-1964, but there are differences.
  2. The Blues home jerseys had yellow numbers every year of their existence until last year.
  3. Army uniforms for the Navy game.
  4. Look at #4 & #8 under Primary Mark. They have no outline and are a standard block I.
  5. I believe the I on the helmet is incorrect. Their identity standards state that when there is no outline, the I shouldn’t have the curves where the vertical and horizontal parts meet. It’s supposed the be a standard block I. However, there is no example of an orange I with no outline on a navy background.
  6. Sports Specialties was owned by Nike. Nike bought the company in 1992.
  7. It could be the angle that the second picture was taken at, but it doesn’t appear Michigan was centered properly. The top of the letters appear closer to the back of the end zone than the bottom of the letters are to the goal line.
  8. The St. Louis Cardinals (football) used to do this to the Cowboys when they played in St. Louis. The Cardinals would wear their white jerseys just to prevent them Cowboys from wearing their white jerseys.

Does anyone know why the Blues are wearing white jerseys at home tonight? Update: Apparently just because they want to.

Why didn’t they use white zippers on the inside of the pants?
  11. I believe Jerry Jones signed a deal with Nike. Nike wasn’t a licensed supplier with the NFL yet, so the jerseys didn’t have any logos and the coaches wore generic sideline gear.
  12. The Illinois/Purdue game is rough to watch. Illinois is wearing white jerseys and Purdue is wearing light gray jerseys.
  13. Never mind. I just saw it’s a mock-up.

Except for the Blues. Their blue socks still inexplicably have navy in between the yellow and white stripes, even though it's royal blue in between the stripes on the jersey. Also, the lower portion of the home and away socks should be navy to match their jerseys, but it's not.
  15. Why are the sleeve stripes on the Under Armour throwbacks at an upward angle?
  16. According to Iowa's brand standards manual, only the black version of the logo can be used with a light background. I'm guessing they consider green a light background.
  17. I doubt the 49ers changed the striping because of Nike. Nike doesn't have a problem with the Bears having three stripes on their jerseys.
  18. I hate the new paint they're using on fields. The paint isn't thick enough. The green always shows. It doesn't matter if it's grass or an artificial surface.
  19. I don't think that's Wisconsin's new wordmark. It looks like it's just a block font.
  20. When US Soccer created the new font didn't they show 2 or 3 different number sets they could use?
  21. I believe I read that Bauer and Easton are owned by the same parent company. The parent company made the decision that Easton would stop making hockey equipment. I'm guessing Easton's hockey division will merge with Bauer and Bauer will take over endorsement deals Easton had with players.
  22. SLU is going to scrap the new Billiken mascot and redesign it again due negative response. Apparently they're not redesigning the logo though.
  23. I meant it appears to be metallic gold, not athletic gold, between the number and the outline.
  24. I noticed that Brazil has gold in between their numbers and the green outline. Has their numbers always been like that or is it something they did for the Olympics?
