  1. Only time the Big logo on shoulder Patriots met the Oilers

    OILERS-MCGINEST%20TACKLE-155002.jpg

Such a great looking matchup. The Patriots current look is such a drab and boring look, much like the team. But they will never change again.
4 rings are drab and boring?

The way they do is not exciting, yes. Would I want my team to have 4 rings? Yes. But they are not a fun team by any means.

  2. I know we said NES doesn't count due to system limitations, but some of the combinations in the licensed MLB game were interesting:

-- The system couldn't use yellow in the uniforms, so the Pirates wore peach unis / black accessories at home and dark gray unis / peach accessories on the road

-- The system couldn't do royal blue or navy blue in the uniforms, so the Astros (home accs and road unis(?!)), Tigers, Red Sox (road accs), Cubs, Dodgers, Blue Jays, White Sox, Royals, Mariners and Rangers (road accs) all used the same replacement color.....purple! The Mets, Indians, Brewers and Rangers (home accs) had a different color....light purple! So what about the Braves, Expos (home accs*) and Twins (home accs*)? This blue. The Yankees? They used black, so they looked exactly like the Giants.

-- The Expos, Blue Jays and Royals had powder blue road unis, but for some reason the Cubs and Phillies had.....even lighter purple

-- The Athletics had white road unis

-- The Reds had pink road unis instead of gray (even though the Cardinals had gray/red)

-- The Angels had hot pink accessories

-- The Brewers had gold road unis

    * - Despite having blue home accessories, they switched to red on the road

Are you talking about the MLB game made by LJN? I loved that game. You could pick your lineups. I loved making all star teams.

    Edit: found a pic!

  3. Wow, Flyers fans have taken it far...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J19AOEQXDnA

this is also the same city that booed santa claus so nothing new.

A guy who appeared to be intoxicated dressed as Santa Claus. The guy deserved to be booed. It also happened almost 50 years ago. I am not an Eagles fan but I am a sports fan from the Philadelphia area. I hate how that story still epitomizes the Philadelphia fan. Granted, I have been to my fair share of Flyers games where the fans are ruthless but it is no different than anywhere else in the Northeast, like Boston or New York.

Real talk: at least ten people chanting in that video once raped someone

    This is probably true.

  4. I'll bite...

Seahawks: my dad bought me a Steve Largent jersey back in 1988 and I have loved them ever since

Penn State: I am an alumnus and the closest big time local college program (Temple still doesn't count)

Florida State: I jumped on the bandwagon in the early 90s and never hopped off...I was accepted to go there but wanted to stay more local. (Interesting note: when I was young, I liked both the Seminoles and Gators. My dad told me I can't root for both and I had to pick one. So FSU, it was!)

Flyers: Local team...first team I ever started to root for...I remember watching games when I was 6. Back when they lost to Edmonton in the cup.

Orioles: My favorite player was Cal Ripken Jr.

    Phillies: Local team

Chelsea FC: I may seem like a bandwagoner here but I saw a game back in 1998 or 1999 on TV when our cable company would give us free previews of certain channels. They were playing Manchester United. I always knew to go against them so I went with the Blues.

Dundee United: I have Scottish ancestors that lived in Dundee. It didn't hurt that DUFC wears orange and black either!
