Anybody remember the time the Bengals had little tree branches on their shoulders instead of tiger stripes?
HAHAHA!!! You don't remember the year of 1980 1970? I believe that's the only year they did it.

Start up the moving vans! Some franchise may actually be heading up north! Oh who am I kidding...The Panthers will be in South Florida for another 20+ years!
-
North Jersey is not a good area for a new team. There are already existing baseball teams in NY that have a strong hold on that area.
-
So it basically seems like you can't move the Rays anywhere else without bumping elbows with another teams fanbase.
-
Maryland's 2012 uniforms were amazing (not counting wacky alternates). It took a few tries but Under Armour hit a home run with these.
The uniforms aren't bad at all actually but those helmets do those unis no justice at all.

We need a Zod-like finish to this, where we put the franchise into some infinite space-traveling shard, ne'er to be seen or discussed again.
Saskatoon?
Lets take a page out of the NFL's book...how about London?
-
I love how it says that Bettman doesn't have a plan B "ironed out yet". You are the freaking commissioner, Bettman...don't you think you should have a plan B in place? What an idiot.

I wanted the Coyotes out of Arizona but not in the half-assed fashion in which it seems to be proceeding. Key Arena will possibly become home to an NHL franchise in just about 2 months with the preseason and the rumors are that it WILL be ready? Bettman and his cronies are turning this league into a bigger joke than it already has been for a few years.

Serious note... Are coyotes in Seattle/Washington?
I believe there are. So in reality, you could keep the name.
-
I'm thrilled that Glendale has apparently wised up and this may be it for the Coyotes. I'm much less thrilled about them setting up a slapdash team in Seattle , rushing jersey/logos which will make the OKC Thunder's logo look like a painstaking design, and playing their games in a local ice rink.
Whose to say they aren't currently done/in the works?
Whose to say they will even change the logo and jersey (minus the Arizona patch)? We may have a Tennessee Oilers situation for this upcoming season.

Perhaps the NHL is saving Quebec for the Devils?
Just my opinion but I think the Devils will stay put in North Jersey. I still feel like the team that will move to Quebec are the Panthers. How that team has survived as long as they have in South Florida is beyond me.

My apologies ;_:
NHL on TSN, 1995-1998
The graphic in the top left corner shows the game is being played at the CoreStates Center really takes me back. That was the first of 4 names for the currently named Wells Fargo Center.

Those were the days...

Craig Morgan of Fox Sports Arizona is reporting that George Gosbee's Renaissance Sports & Entertainment group and the NHL have agreed to terms on a sale. Bettman and Daly will meet with Glendale officials on Tuesday, the same day as a press conference to formally announce GM Don Maloney's contract extension.
*sigh* congratulations on keeping your team, Coyotes fans

So when are they moving out of the desert?
2162-63 Season
Sounds about right.
-
So when are they moving out of the desert?
-
Does everyone think that the potential buyers (whom are Canadian) will keep the team in the desert? I call BS on them saying that they will.
-
The NHL won't have to worry about realignment. By some miracle, the Coyotes will stay in Arizona.
-
The NHL just needs to do the right thing and end the whole Arizona thing. Quebec will be so much better.
-
Probably not. If these latest buyers are submitting bids, that means it'll take all summer to negotiate with the city, and the beat goes on. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they burned off the last two years of Colisee play and held it off till 2015.
I love the delaying of the inevitable.
-
Well if everything that is being said is correct, it looks like no NBA team in Seattle next season. So can we can we say bonjour to Quebec in the NHL again for the 2013-14 season?
-
I have a feeling Columbus will get screwed and be forced back into the west if Quebec gets the coyotes franchise.
-
It just occurred to me the Coyotes are like the villain in a horror movie. You think its dead, but somehow it comes back.
Like Jason Voorhees...he was brought back in so many different ways... this Phoenix Coyotes nightmare is like terrible sequels...they should have been ended a long time ago

Minor/Independent/Collegiate League Baseball Logo/Uniform Changes

The Wilmington Sharks reminds me of my local independent league team, the Camden Riversharks. Same team name and pretty much the same colors.
