  1. I think the Jets are going to be getting a throwback. I believe they were in a conversation similar to the Eagles about not being able to have the black helmet next year since they would have a throwback helmet as well.

I can see it, aqua isn’t a readily available color and navy is still in their color scheme. Not the same shade of navy but still I can see them going “good enough” for something that’s worn for like 4 games

Everyone in the NFL who has changed colors/logos has matching ones or has updated with new logos. Including domed and warm weather teams. The Fins play in a division with 3 northeast teams.

  3. The colder months of the NFL season have sent me down a rabbit hole ever since I saw the Commanders still using year old WFT hand warmers. This is something I thought would be swapped out every year but this doesn't always seem to be the case especially with the Dolphins who continue to use plain Navy Hand Warmers for the last 10 plus years. This picture is from two years ago but I saw Jaylen Waddle waring the same one just two weeks ago. Here is Chad Pennington wearing the same thing 14 years ago. I understand things like parkas not being replaced but to have an out of uniform piece like this in todays day and age is surprising. Especially since team branded accessories have been a part of the NFL for 20 plus years now.

I wouldn’t chalk that up to the Rose Bowl having “integrity” or putting itself above sponsorships. I think it’s just that they don’t have a sponsor at the moment. Very surprising to be honest.

The Rose Bowl has been more than happy to have sponsors on the patch in years past.

The only one I know of in recent memory that went sponsorless was the 2021 CFP semi final that was held in Dallas due to covid restrictions in California. The patch said “2021” instead of the presenting sponsor.

To this day, I don’t know why they went sponsorless. Whether it had something to do with the game being in Dallas, or if Capital One was a late partnership with the game, who knows. But the field definitely had Capital One’s graphics. A bit confusing.

The Rose Bowl being played on turf indoors at the corporate warehouse that is Jerry World makes me sick.

And there's your Twitterverse public opinion poll evidence right there--the twitterfolk prefer the black.

Much to all our chagrins, apparently...

Only 3 maybe 4 more chances for us to wear green. Home vs DET, at Miami, possibly at BUF "standing buffalo throwbacks", or praying to god we make it the playoffs. If not I doubt we ever seen the current greens again because I believe the 90's or 80's kelly throwbacks are coming next year. Will either be those the whites or the blacks at home before the expected change to a fauxback of the 80's or 60's set in 2024.

Agreed. But this seems like a low hanging fruit thing that the NFL would be all over.

Fix turf for safety reasons? Nah, that costs money.

Not allow 3-D logos? Yup, you might cut someone with that.

As far as the turf thing goes I saw an article which pointed to the fields that use "slim fit turf" whatever that is. I think if you are going to have turf there definitely has to be uniformity amongst the turf. I know everyone wants grass but how are you going to have grass at a place like the Superdome? I know grass trays are possible but the Texans ditched grass for just that exact reason. One step forward two steps back

We’re a year out from the Jets changing uniforms (I hope) and I just want to say how much I miss these.

Makes me wonder where they will go next. I do not want some sort of hybrid between the 2000's uniforms with the 80's jets logo. I also feel like they will keep black in some capacity.

If they are on their way out of Oakland, when and how would they do it? Will they do what the Raiders did and play a couple lame duck seasons at the Coliseum while a ballpark in Las Vegas is constructed? Will they try to split games between Oakland and Las Vegas (similar to what Montreal did in Puerto Rico) until a new ballpark is built? Will they abandon the Coliseum and try to rent from the Giants until a ballpark is built in Vegas? Will they rent from the Giants and split games in San Francisco and Las Vegas? Will they move to Las Vegas and play at their minor league park until a new ballpark is built? Several options but what is the best?

This should suffice in the meantime.

  9. My only problem with the re-brand is the awful name. I do not know why these teams who switch dont just change to animals. Sure Spiders would've had some haters, but it would have had a lot more character and is easier to get people behind than a "Guardian" because of a statue on a bridge.

That is easy, the Jaguars as they wear junior high school pants.

Worst pants in the league in my opinion:

    1. Jaguars & Commies (plain and boring, very generic)
    2. Titans (The sword holster is awful compared to previous set)
    3. Jets (sad excuse for a stripe)
    4. Falcons (sad excuse for a stripe, especially considering their previous set was damn near perfect)
    5. Rams (make the stripes consistent on the bone, sol, and blue pants)
    6. Saints (hate the solid white and solid black pants, the gold pants stripe should match the helmet)

Thats supposed to be a sword holster?

I’m no fan of the white sock trend. But ever if a team should do it the Chargers tonight need it. Way too bottom heavy.

When they came out I always thought I would like the yellow pants. For whatever reason I just dont think it works maybe it is the powder socks like you pointed out. I think they should swap them for powder pants.

I say we keep layering on ruinous renovations of Soldier Field. Just every few decades make it even dumber and uglier. That can be its new legacy.

I know it seems like im piling on here but was Soldier Field ever that historic to begin with? The Bears only played there since 71 and produced 1 championship team. Before that they hosted a handful of Notre Dame Games and one Army Navy Game. Sure the original design was nice but that was badgered.
