The Raiders-Browns broadcast just showed a clip of the Bengals from last year, and it reminded me of how garish Cincy used to look. No, the new set isn’t perfect but it’s such a clean and professional-looking upgrade for the Bengals.

Am I one of the few who hates the current Penguins set because of the messy striping patterns?

Here’s a good alternate: 

I keep hoping the Royals will fully incorporate powder blue or gold as a secondary color. Oh well, these are still good.

No. The Bulls are going back to white in the regular season. 

This was such a great look. Shame it didn’t last long. The rare CFL uniform that would slide seamlessly into the NFL. 

This would be my ideal Giants set. It keeps the current home jersey with a smidge of red, restores the 80s stripe but keeps the red numbers/socks for the road like they’ve had for much of their history, and there’s a gray pants option too. The blue socks could also be worn with the white jersey. 
 

Most importantly, there’s continuity between the home and road uniforms. 

What a total and complete mess.

The Bengals were soooo close to getting this totally right. But there’s too many flaws to give this anything higher than a C grade.

Yeah, I feel like this is a gateway drug to teams just wearing whichever helmets whenever they feel like it. 

I wonder if the Bengals would’ve designed their road uniforms differently (more orange?) if they had known about a second helmet. They could’ve paired the white tiger Color Rush with a white and black helmet, while the standard road would have more orange to go with the primary helmet. 

I’d love to see the 1950 uniforms but it doesn’t seem like the Packers love acknowledging the era between Hutson and Lombardi. 

I always liked this Jets logo. Combined the classic Jets shape with a NY logo and is more than distinct from the Giants.

I dunno. Seattle has made mono-blue its thing. Seems like it works for them.

None of this would be necessary if all NFL teams unretired numbers and used rings of honor instead. But that’d make too much sense.

Agreed, as long as they ditch the black TV numbers on the red jersey. I know it’s a throwback element but it was bad then and it’s bad now.

Here's an update. Lightened the brown and removed the number outlines. I think that helped quite a bit, as now it feels much more like the Cleveland Browns. Thanks!

 

Looks great. Update the sock stripes, and I’d love to see an away version.
