The white jersey-white pants-white socks combo will count as color rush. It’s not their regular road look (they only wore it once last season while wearing contrasting pants or socks in every other appearance of the away jersey) and the Packers already proved that “color rush” can just be the normal away jersey but the pants and socks are both white. I’ll buy a mini helmet and eat it when it drops if that’s not the case.

The Packers haven't worn the all white in 2 years. I wish they wore it again.

  2. The NBA allowed teams the option to wear their colored uniform at home in recent years, where prior the standard was the home team had to wear white and the visiting team in their colored uniform. This thread is colored uniforms at home in the NBA pre-2017. Lets give all instances where a team wore their colored uniform prior to the current era.

-In the mid 2000s the Lakers and 76ers were both in throwback uniforms. The Lakers were in blue and the 76ers in white.

-In the late 2000s the Nuggets wore a green uniform and the Jazz in their white uniform at the Pepsi Center. That week the NBA was promoting earth green week. There was another team who wore green as the home team, but my memory of it is fuzzy.

-The Heat wore their black uniform on their home court against the Bulls in the late 2000s.

-The Blazers used to wear their red uniforms at the then Rose Garden when they had their games on or near Christmas day during the Brandon Roy era. One of those games was against Denver, and the Nuggets were in white.

I recall a game when the Celtics wore their green uniform at home. I can't remember what game it was, but I think it was in a time when Boston had the big three, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen.

These are the most I can remember. What other NBA games had the home team not in their colors instead of white before 2017? I used to follow the NBA, but don't follow it like before. So I was curious about the instances I don't know of/about.

Bears and Patriots actually played each other in the regular season in 1985, giving us this gem of a spectacle:

Can NE gives us the white uniform of the throwback too? I like the white one more than the red one.

Some possibilities for when they could wear them:

Week 1 at Miami - they wore the 09 version of the red jerseys at Miami, but never the current one. Wearing red and white may be more appealing in the September sun than the usual all navy, assuming Miami wears white at home. The Dolphins breaking out their throwbacks to make this an old-fashioned game would be fun!

Week 5 vs Detroit - the Pats have worn red against the Lions twice, although both were on Thanksgiving. They could opt to break them out for their 2nd home game.

Week 7 vs Chicago (MNF) - New England seems to like breaking out the throwbacks against NFC foes, and a Monday Night Football game seems like a prime opportunity to show them off. I won't be surprised if they'd rather the regular home uniform for the spotlight, though.

Week 9 vs Indy - this would be a very nice looking game, and it would break up the blue-fest that usually happens when these teams meet.

Week 11 vs NYJ - NE wore the throwbacks against the Jets in both 2011 and 2012. They seem to like the red vs green. Seeing it again would be anything but a shock.

Week 12 at Minnesota (Thanksgiving) - this is a stretch, with the Vikings either needing to wear white at home or for the NFL to give the go ahead for red vs purple for it to happen. But the Pats wore red against Minnesota in 2010, and they wore it on Thanksgiving in 2000 and 2010 at Detroit. This is unlikely, but given it's a holiday, the door must remain open.

Week 13 vs Buffalo (TNF) - this is the latest I could see the throwbacks making an appearance. Should the Pats want them to be worn in primetime, this is the only other opportunity at home besides the game against Chicago.

Historically, they've worn the reds once per season in October and again on Thanksgiving, should the team play then and the matchup work. The Pats have worn them exclusively against NFC or AFC East opponents. If they stick to wearing them once, the game against Detroit seems like the most likely for their return. If they wear them the maximum of 3 times, my guesses would be at Miami, vs Detroit, and against the Jets.

I think the Jets in white tops over gotham green pants vs the Patriots red throwback jersey would be a fantastic uniform match. But it will fall in the pattern of teams liking to wear an alternate or throwback against a certain divisional rival.

The Bears and Bills home games look like good candidates, for they are primetime games. The Bengals is another good candidate since it's in October.

The throwbacks are too good not to be worn 3 times. I hope NE does.

Idk, Washington not wearing their black uniform wouldn’t be a waste.

Except for those who do like the uniform.

It would also be a waste to toss them all in a dumpster and set it on fire, but I'd be OK with it.

Dan Synder, Ron Rivera, nor anyone in the organization are going to think about doing such thing anytime soon.

  6. My guess for WAH games

    - CIN in all white against PIT in week 1.

    - BAL in white tops and purples pants, MIA in aqua tops and white pants in week 2.

    - BUF in white throwback for a game in November or October.

    - LAC in all white against LV for week 1, white tops with yellow pants and JAX in teal tops with black pants for week 3.

    - HOU all white against IND in week 1.

    - CHI white throwback jersey and navy pants for a December game (the Bears have worn the current throwbacks for a game in December). Hard to say if they'll wear them for an additional game.

    - CAR in white uniform against CLE, NO, and ARZ.

    - NO in white CR against MIN.

    - LAR in white tops with yellow pants against ATL and DAL.

WAH games that are tough to call

    ATL

    MIA

    JAX

    TB

    NYJ

    TEN

The Falcons wore white for the opener last year against the Eagles, but did in week 9 against the Broncos in 2020. Dolphins and Buccaneers wore white at home longer than the seasons prior. Do the Jaguars wear their white tops with teal pants against the Texans on Oct. 9, or do they start going to teal tops? The Jets wore white at home twice last year and extended it to the Titans game. Was last year an anomaly? Likewise, the Titans normally do WAH for 2 home games. They didn't do it against the Colts in week 3 last year. What will Tennessee do in the week 3 game this year against the Raiders? The Raiders like to wear the silver numbered alternate against the Chargers at Sofi Stadium, they won't get to do that this year. Will the Raiders return the favor against the Chargers for their second meeting in Las Vegas?

The Giants wore their regular white jersey for their game against the Rams last year. Was that just a one time thing? The Colts did WAH in the 2019  regular season against the Titans. Was that a one time thing?  Was the Packers WAH game against the Lions in 2019 an anomaly?

First official announcement: Falcons are wearing throwbacks with red helmets Week 6 against San Francisco.

Glad it is officially back, but does this mean they will also wear throwback once with the black helmet? Or will they wear the gradient twice or maybe only use two of the three throwback opportunities?

Are the throwbacks they introduced in 2016 and the one from 2009 any different? They don't look that much different.

We’ve seen them wear navy the last two times vs. Tennessee. I want to see navy over Columbia for that one. And in 2018, the Jags went black over teal in Dallas. I hope for regular teal over white this time, or if they do somehow opt to wear white, over teal pants.

Okay, yeah, I just recalled what you said prior to checking back here. I must've mistook the 2018 game for the Jaguars vs Cowboys preseason game in 2021.  We'll get to see the Cowboys navy. But it's against teams we know that they're guaranteed to see them against; Washington and the Rams.

Jacksonville goes into their teal sooner ever since it made its in the teams uniform rotation, whether it's a night game or a 1 PM game, so there's only 1 WAH game a year in some instances. So I think they might wear teal for the Texans in week 5. Most likely they'll wear the all white against the Colts in week 2. If the Jaguars decide to be one of those team, who purposely wears white to force Dallas in their navy blue, they'll wear white tops over teal pants. If not, then the 2006 game and a preseason game in 2002 are the only times we saw Jacksonville in white and the Cowboys in blue.

We've seen the Cowboys wear the navy blue 3 straight times against the Chargers. Tennessee wore the white tops with columbia blue pants against Washington when it was in December in 2018. You think they couldn't do the same against Dallas?

  9. Cowboys schedule is disappointing. We won't get to see the navy blue jersey as much this year. I wish the schedule makers put the JAX or TEN game early. Maybe the fact that DAL/TEN is good prevents that. We saw the Jaguars teal vs Cowboys white already in 2018. I hope one of them still does WAH for DAL regardless of the instance.

  10. Cowboys vs Packers week 10

    Broncos vs Rams week 16

I want the Packers to wear their new all green alternate against Dallas.

Rams have yet to unveil the 4th uniform set. Is the Denver game an alternate game?

It might shock you, but there's a few more there than most realize. Not that it makes a big difference...in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't change much.

I mean, they could move up here to South Dakota...there's about as many Jag fans here as there are there (seriously--there's a LOT of Jags fans up here)...but let me quit cooking up wild fantasies. 😄😄

I saw a Jaguars fan when I was visiting Tennessee.

  12. I had a dream/vision that the Chargers wore the all navy color rush against the Dolphins, and the Dolphins were in all white. I think this is the game that will happen in 2022. If this comes true and anyone remembers this, give credit to God in heaven.

The Chargers had the Jaguars for the home opener in 2016 and 2010. I had a dream that the LA Lakers were in their white uniform and the Charlotte Hornets were there, in their teal uniform. I think the Lakers are symbolic for the Chargers and the Hornets are symbolic for the Jaguars.

Maybe these are weird, but I decided to share them. I've had many dreams telling me about things that were going to happen, or things that already happened.
